The place is breathtaking. I would advise atleast a 2 day stay because the first day you’ll spend just in awe of the beautiful view this property provides. It’s spectacular and must visit for everyone. The weather is perfect all round. It was drizzling perfectly throughout. All amenities are perfect. All rooms are designed to give the best view of the Kane and the mountains. No photo would do this justice. You have to come and experience this. Surreal. Special mention to Mr. Varghese and the staff who made this experience memorable for us. I spent my 10 year anniversary here, and they helped me decorate my room a little extra special.

We had an amazing stay there. The resort ambience was just gorgeous.The view from our room was beautiful it's like we really close to the nature.Staffs and services are really good,they were so attentive and friendly. Kerala cuisines at buffet was delicious.we could enjoy the local delicacy. Mountain Shadows is an excellent choice for nature lovers and those seeking a peaceful retreat. With its stunning views, comfortable accommodation, it's an ideal destination for a relaxing gateway.

A stunning view and infinity pool in a tranquil and sublime location. But its all downhill from there. In our opinion the quality of the food and service are poor and rooms are bland, boring and basic. Given the large nightly rate we paid we were expecting that the food and room standards to be significantly better. Food is a 4 out of 10 at best. No fresh bread, looked like cheap packaged bread, chicken hamburger was a frozen pattie , it was inedible ( they didnt charge us for it btw) , lack of fresh fruit ( no banana or mango although they are in season- they did source for us when we asked) , dinner starts at 8pm , way too late, so we skipped dinner each night, and staff hovered and hounded us to eat more, try this and that etc.. we had to ask the guest relations managers to make them stop!!! In general the quality of the food and facilities are 3 star. Given there is no other options to eat nearby this was very disappointing. Infinity pool is excellent. View is out of this world. I guess we fell for the stunning view and location thinking everything else would be great. In our opinion you also need to lift the standard of the rooms ( they are bare, concrete boxes with a stunning view). Manu the guest relations manager was excellent. Oh and be aware that they dont have a liquor license which you dont know when you book. A few non alcohol free days were fine but let us know before you book. In our view this is not a 4.9 rated resort. View is 5/5 and higher, but everything else is 2.5 out 5. Staff were sufficiently friendly and helpful. We found it very disappointing given the price we paid.

A very pleasant stay with amazing view and relaxing experience. The staff was very hospitable and warm. A must visit for couples.
