This is our second visit to this motel, first time in the new apartment section. The apartments are very large with great views over the tablelands. Spotlessly clean with all the mod cons including kitchenette, fridge/freezer, coffee pod maker, huge and comfortable bed. The bathroom is modern with plentiful hot water and large shower area (although alas, like many hotels these days, the water escapes all over the bathroom). The owners are very friendly and gave takeaway suggestions (as it was a Monday night and most places were closed). If you stay on a night the Pagoda Chinese Restaurant in the car park is open, I recommend the restaurant too. These apartments and rooms fill up very fast with workers and coach groups so make sure you book well ahead. The part ends are short drive out, on the edge of town but we wouldn’t stay anywhere else and will return.

We travel up to the Tablelands often this time it was myself and two young children (4 & 6) We have never stayed at the Atherton Motel generally stay at Air B & Bs. We will definitely be staying again! The location is only 10 minutes or so to Yungaburra, a picturesque town with plenty to see and do. We only stayed the one night as it was a last minute getaway. Some adventures we had were the Crystal Caves, went looking for platypus, The Historic Village in Herbaton (allow at least a good half day for this ) . The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Rooms are very clean. It felt very safe with my children and there is plenty of space for them to explore their lovely gardens. The price is very affordable. There is an amazing looking Chinese Restaurant next to the Atherton Motel, next time we will visit it looked very popular. Thank you so much for your kind hospitality.
