My partner and I chose this place and resort for our open water diver certification and of course later diving as well. Jo was really nice and clear with all the instructions while doing the course. Since we stayed in a homestay, they picked us up for every dive, which made the experience very carefree. The boat and the gear were in great shape, maintained and clean. The dive sites were just amazing and location for surface intervals beautiful with complimentary tea or coffee. In the end you also receive all the footage from your dives. All in all Meridian took very nice care of us, very easygoing and flexible.

This is the first diving trip after we got PADI Open Water recently. Merdian is very located with a few steps of walking to the pier, which makes it extremely convenient. The resort staffs and dive guides are very nice and professional. The dive guide includes several locals who knows the area like their backyard and can always spot something beautiful in the ocean. My elder daughter did the diving while younger one snorkeled. Both are thrilled and excited! I would certainly recommend Meridian as the dive resort of choice.

Everything was perfect since my arrival till departure. Dives were exceptional with very well adjusted kit and professional assistance that let you enjoy discovering all the aquatic creatures you can imagine. We visited incredible dive sites and beautiful spots between the dives exploring Raja Ampat to the fullest. The resort itself is super clean, with all the facilities and services needed. All the people from staff are very polite and helpful. Also the owner and dive team are doing their best to make sure every guest leaves happy (with unquestionable success). Absolutely recommend

I can’t recommend Meridian enough. Everything was flawless. The dive crew was impeccable. They were all so kind and made diving so easy and enjoyable. Shoutout to Joe who runs the show there, she makes everything feel so comfortable and welcomed! Highly recommend!

I had a great time with the Meridian team Everything was excellent from the small stuff (airport pick-ups) to the big dive stuff (dive organisation and quality) Diving team - Diving instructors to boat captains were all very highly professional, knew their dive spots, planned dives well, very good spotters underwater, and really amazing (patient with the group, polite, SUPER helpful - our masks were always sneakily had the defog solution right before the dive). We did not do anything except turning up on time and diving - everything was arranged and went like clockwork. We were babied. Dive boat quality, equipment was excellent - I did not see anyone struggle with anything incl simple things like the masks which are a problem area. Every-dive was world class - just coral and coral and fish and fish. Property was well curated - rooms were good, restraunt was good (food and service). Staff was on point, well spoken, courteous and very helpful. Massive shout out to Jo - runs the ship well - and her team - Arkan, Cullen, Kaira and other dive crew. Got more than the money’s worth.

The resort is everything it says it is and so much more. Staff are great, they help organize any activities you wish to do outside of diving, and really promote the community they reside within. We were recommended numerous restaurants which were all great. The pool area is beautiful and we loved the outdoor bar, was a fantastic way to unwind after a day of diving and touring.

Bad - Advertise other activities apart from diving but you soon realise they don’t run them - Social media isn’t representative, they should show more of the dive experience. As this is what they focus on - No alcohol Good - Clean - Food was great (expensive, but as you expect) - Overall dive experience is amazing. Equipment is of quality. Dive boat is of quality. The remote beaches they take you for a break are spectacular. To note - No shoes inside Dive orientated. All about diving. They advertise full day/half day boat tours and Paddle boarding, which I hoped to get booked onto once we arrived. (We emailed back and forth prior to arriving and they advised this) However, once we arrived, we found out, nobody else had booked onto a boat tour/paddle boarding so they weren’t running these activities. (Emphasis dive only) After asking again about Boat tour / paddle boarding they still wasn’t running the activity. They need 10people to book on. Speaking to other guests in the hotel, they were told the same, “No interest, we are not running the activity’s”. We got the impression they never actually run the activities but the advertise them on website and social media. Strange. Meridian booked us a full day boat tour third party. Disappointing but it was our only way to see attractions such as Telaga bintang,Arborek,Pasir Timbal and pianemo islands. When we woke up in the morning, they informed us the provider was no longer running the tour. At this point we were very disappointed. We felt everything they said was lies. Meridian offered us a private tour with another provider for same cost, due to inconvenience, we agreed, but by this time it was 10oclock. We were supposed to leave at 8AM. (Leaving later in the day sacrificed the number of destinations we could visit) We arrived at the boat, and we were shocked. Shocked because of the money we paid and what Meridian describes we were getting. Local guides (no english) local banana boat, open top, small engine (very slow) On a good note, we made the most out of our day, our boat trip was great. We managed to visit most of the sites. The views are spectacular. We snorkelled at Arborek jetty this was great, worth a visit. Our local guides were great and very helpful. The disappointment was from meridians service and communication about the quality of the service they provided us. Dive day. 4 dives a day. 2 in the morning, 2 in afternoon. After first dive they take you to remote island to have tea and coffee. These islands are breath taking! Keep in mind- You don’t get to choose dive spots. There is a set agenda for the week and that’s it. Speaking to other guest in the hotel they felt the same disappointment and also many complained they weren’t seeing what they expected or wanted. Some of these people were very experienced divers and payed a lot of money for a five-day dive pass and to have no say on where you are diving is quite frustrating. Furthermore, there was

We had a 5 days stay at Meridian Rajah Ampat. The diving team is very professional ( mix of local and expats) with top quality equipments. Thier dive boat is a beauty, it's modern, classy and super fast as compared to any other dive boats we have seen in the region. The resort is clean, well maintained and run professionally. The diving equipments and dive boat are also very well maintained. They have a system for everything on the dive - dive schedules are followed meticulously, name tags on your equipments, multiple dive guides to keep the group together.. you can just relax and enjoy the dives. A couple of things that they can do better is coordination between the resort staff ( reception) and the dive team. We had booked our stay with them 2 months before and informed them that we are coming with our 6 years old son and we both will be diving so will need someone to look after our son on the boat. However on the day of our first dive they informed that they don't have any other staff on the boat apart from the captain and therefore we cannot dive together..which was not what we had planned for. However, after 02 dives they arranged for a baby sitter on the boat so we could dive together. Another thing is even though they write that they include GoPro pictures of your dives however it's not available for all the dives so don't be dependent on their GoPro images, and plan to carry your own camera.
