What a fabulous place! Bruno, Ana Maria and the family are passionate about their farm and about making your stay special. We had to cancel our booking last year because of a breakdown, but so glad we kept our decision to stay here, not only for their hospitality and accomodation, but the beuatiful area close to the Duoro Valley. Bruno recommended a trip which we hadn't planned enabling us to see some special landmarks. We had dinner their each night, prepared by Ana's mum Laura. This was such a treat consisting of pre dinner drinks, nibbles, 3 courses and their own produced wine. A great place to stay if you want a relaxing rural stay. Thank you all!

We arrived at this darling farm after a long drive from Porto. When we pulled up to the stone house, we were greeted by a beautiful woman, Anna Maria who is the daughter of the woman that owns the business. She apologized that the elevator had died in last night’s thunder and lightning storm. We are seniors and had 2 suitcases bigger than she is! But she carried them upstairs. The room was large and had a spectacular bathroom that also had a balcony! We could shower with a view of the vineyard! The vineyard grows grapes but no longer bottles or sells their wine privately so there is no facility to tour. After we settled into our gorgeous room with a terrific balcony, Bruno ( the partner of Anna Maria) brought us two lovely glasses of wine and chips to enjoy on our balcony.We opted to lounge around in the yard and enjoy the company of the four farm dogs who live there as well as the other guests. We had dinner cooked by mom both nights. It was $30 each for dinner and we had to pay for bottled water and wine.Total was $130 for both nights. They also provided a free Porto and tonic cocktail to us both nights. The place is pretty remote so if you don’t want to eat in, plan ahead to make reservations in a nearby area. A continent beautiful breakfast is included. The grounds are stupendous and you can walk 15 minutes to see the river. There is a huge pool which is refreshing but not heated. Guests still were in it, as Europeans cope with cold better than us Yanks! The best thing about the place were the people. Bruno was a great host. Laura was very warm as was her sister who was her helper. Anna Maria and her son Simon made us feel like we were her favorite aunties! Take a look at my pics for a taste of paradise.

The Quinta is in a beautiful location and is surrounded by the family’s vineyards. Bruno and the rest of the family are very welcoming. The accommodation is superb - extremely clean, modern and comfortable with lovely views over the surrounding countryside. We stayed for two nights and dined there both nights. The food was excellent and very good value. The breakfasts were also wonderful. As long as you don’t mind the isolation (no facilities within walking distance) this is the perfect place to stay!

Excelente fim de semana. Obrigada a toda a equipa pela simpatia e atenção. Ótimo espaço para relaxar em família, em comunhão com a natureza. Animais muito meigos. Espaço muito agradável e limpo. Comida muito boa. Excelente serviço. A repetir!

Um lugar encantador, gerido por uma família extraordinária, exímia na arte de bem receber. Viajei só e senti-me em casa. Com uma simpatia natural e sempre atentos a tudo e a todos, para que as pessoas se sintam confortáveis e disfrutem da linda casa, da piscina, de todo o espaço exterior da quinta e da encantadora paisagem envolvente. Heel mooie locatie, gastheer en dame zorgen ervoor dat je in de watten wordt gelegd. Appartement super proper. Ontbijt mag iets ruimer als je wat langer verblijft. Veel te doen in de omgeving vraagt wel wat reistijd. Zwembad is heel goed van grootte.
