We recently stayed for 2 nights in an upstairs deluxe double room in this beautiful location with views towards the mist of the Victoria Falls, waking each morning to the sunrise in front of us. Our room was spacious, bed so comfortable, and bathroom amenities plentiful. The breakfast buffet had a wonderful variety with many hot choices of eggs, pancakes, etc. Staff were quick and attentive to our needs and made us feel very welcome during our stay, especially when one evening when it was slightly cooler, we requested that our outdoor dining table which had been set for our group of 11 be relocated indoors. The location on the edge of the village made walking anywhere in town easy, especially the Victoria Falls arts & crafts centre located right behind the hotel. The hotel is also the closest to the entrance of the Victoria Falls National Park, meaning a 10 minute easy stroll. An unexpected bonus was seeing a hippopotamus grazing on the lawn one evening, which hotel security ensured that everyone maintained a safe distance.

I have been traveling in Africa for nearly two months and to date, my experience with Ilala Lodge in Victoria Falls has been my favorite hotel experience. Upon entry, I noted the hotel’s tasteful decor and beautiful historical artifacts. For those who are looking to learn more about the stories and people of those who shaped this region, the hotel has plenty of outstanding artwork that can help guide your understanding. My dining experience with Cassia was simply spectacular - excellent food quality and lovely service in a relaxed garden atmosphere. Compliments to the chef, as I enjoyed the best tomato soup I have ever had! Lodging and food aside, what makes Ilala stand out is its amazing staff. Everyone who greeted me was perfectly polite, friendly, and relaxed yet highly professional and effective. I’d like to commend Tina in the hotel’s activities department who was extremely thorough in helping me book multiple excursions during my stay. I also wanted to highlight Keith in management who went above and beyond his normal duties and exemplified true hospitality. While in Vic Falls, I experienced an unexpected medical issue which as can be expected, caused a lot of stress on my end. However, Keith took ample time to guide me to the right medical professional in town and thanks to his tireless efforts, I was able to obtain the medical treatment I needed to continue my travels. I am deeply grateful to him for making me feel more than a guest at Ilala — here, I am at home.

Hotel hat eine super Lage um zu den Victoria Falls zu laufen!!! Die Kollegen am Eingang, die die vielem Menschen auf dem Weg zu ihren Aktivitäten unterstützen, sind sehr geduldig und hilfsbereit Das war’s aber dann auch schon, unser Zimmer war super abgewohnt! Viele Moskitos imZimmer, gleich das erste was ich getötet habe, hat einen Blutfleck des Vorgängers hinterlassen! Ganze Zimmer voll mit Flecken getöteter Moskitos Bad hat definitiv schon bessere Zeiten gesehen Frühstück war OK

There are numerous lodges and hotels in Victoria Falls, but this is probably the best, in terms of quality, style, personality and location. It's just a short walk down to the Falls, so make the effort to get there early for sunrise viewing (and no-one else around) and then come back for a fantastic breakfast.

Great room size, big bathroom, balcony, fridge was filled with complimentary soft drinks and 2 small bottles of wine, chocolates which was lovely. Breakfast selection good and our evening meal was lovely. We had a leak in the shower that was attended to promptly and staff were very helpful. Great location to walk to Falls. Would stay here again.

Struttura elegante e curata. Grazie alla pozza e al prato illuminato, la sera è frequente la visita di qualche animale. Posizione centrale per girare a piedi il piccolo villaggio di Victoria falls. Colazione abbondante e varia.
