유토피아 베르사유(Huttopia Versailles)

Excellent campsite. We booked a Trappeur tent (could sleep 5 so plenty for 3 of us). Glorious. In woods. Very much an upgraded tent with its own toilet/shower room!!! 2 weeks whizzed by but just what we needed. An hour from Disney parks, 40mins from centre of Paris, train station nearby took you straight there. Versailles on your doorstep and also close enough to visit Giverny (Monet’s waterlilies). Book everything in advance. Site was excellent. Walks in nature, near a sports park, own pool and decking area, breakfast croissants and bread could be ordered for the next day and a pizza oven for an evening treat. They also had a great email/ reception team, nothing was too much trouble. An EV car charger which was easy to use and when I found out the Kids activities were “painting in the style of Chagall” I was completely bowled over. Hooray for Huttopia

Really lovely place to stay! We booked five nights here to find some peace after a chaotic few days at Disneyland. We found exactly what we were looking for - comfortable, clean accommodation nestled amongst beautiful trees, lovely bar/terrace area, good size swimming pool, great entertainment on a few evenings of our stay and according to our kids - the best ice lollies in the world available from the bar area. We ordered delicious croissants for breakfast, found a well stocked supermarket just down the road and a really huge one ten minutes drive away. We stayed in a Cabane which was spacious and comfortable. The staff were all so helpful and welcoming. Versailles was only ten minutes drive away and we loved visiting the Chateau - recommend hiring a golf buggy to go around the grounds, that was great fun. We found some great places to eat around the market square in Versailles too. We absolutely loved our visit here and hope to return some day. Thank you Huttopia for another fab holiday!

Stayed here purely because it was the only place we could park our vehicle securely on a very bumpy site. However some of the deeper holes around the vehicle track were filled with rocks, making it difficult to get the vehicle in and without causing damage. Cabin floor was filthy, there was a mop but no bucket to clean it. Paid for a larger cabin but was given a standard cabin. Beds were just foam and very uncomfortable. The only good thing is the shower was hot and a decent size. Reception staff were very polite, but when we tried to get a media device back that we left there, the attitude of the staff was appaling. With a follow up phone call asking when it would be returned, the young lady on the phone just wanted my credit card details and 50 euros to return it! And the phrase ' it may take some time' to return it was used a lot even thought the post office was 700 metres from the site. We did not cook in the cabin as it was not clean and the red decor and red lamp shades made the place a bit depressing. The pool was nice enough but the whole pool is 1.57 metres deep, no shallow end for children. I thought not very safe. All in all, we won't be going back to Huttopia, we visit france twice a year and Versailles as often as we can. Previously we stayed at the Waldorf Astoria, but trying to cut costs we chose Huttopia. Next time we will swallow the cost and stay at the Waldorf.

Amazing place with lovely friendly staff. Loved it here. I had to get a doctor and the staff couldn't be more helpful. It would be great to have wifi all over the camp but this is only a small thing. The place was very well kept, 10 min walk to the train which took half an hour to go to Paris. Accommodation 100%

Poor value. We were allocated a pitch the size of a matchbox, which had another camper van parked sideways on it which meant we couldn’t pitch our van and awning. We were offered another that was slightly larger, which was all dirt and long and thin. They like to squeeze you on! Facilities are good but for the money a larger squarer pitch with hard standing is what you would get on similar sites in Brussels or Amsterdam. Site staff are super sweet, but won’t be coming back here.

This was a gem of a Campsite! Lovely friendly staff, with a pizza oven on site, a delightful pool and a bar. The showers were hot and clean with a space to put dry clothes. The camping parking was interesting but our moho is 7.5m long, we fitted in beautifully and with a windbreak we had enough privacy from the family next door whilst still being able to exchange pleasantries with them. Fresh water and a motorhome service point for toilet cassette and grey water. We took the opportunity to walk to the Palace of Versailles which was a gentle 45 minutes stroll. Although you can do 1 stop from porchefontaine. We caught the train from porchefontaine to Paris and got off at the Eiffel Tower - champ du mars. This was perfect for us to pick up a big bus tour and see the city. We also did a show and came back knowing the last train was at 11pm. Unfortunately, we got slightly lost and ended up in a taxi. €50 from the NotreDame to the Campsite. So if you didn't want to catch a train for €8 return, it isn't extortionate prices. Just remember your code to get in the gate after 11pm. Again the staff were awesome 🤣 Would recommend this Campsite and will bring the kids here next time we come, as incredibly childfriendly. We had booked for August 2023 but decided to cancel our stay. I am now trying to get a refund minus the 79 euros deposit that they will keep, which I have agreed to. I am continually getting a standard response saying they will keep the deposit and do I want to take out cancellation insurance. In May I was told the refund would be in my account by the end of the week. This is now almost a month ago and I am continually chasing them. I will be contacting my credit card provider if this is not resolved this week. Their customer service is appalling, read the reviews before you book.

We were motorhome. We found the reception friendly although we had booked 3 months in advance and asked to me sited near our friends who were touring with us. They didn’t accommodate this so we were far apart. The whole site is on a slope and between trees. Turning circles mean anything more than a motorhome or small caravan is a bit ambitious. Some pitches looked flat but we were on a slope even with levelling blocks. You can order bread for the next day but the small shop didn’t sell bread for now or milk. The site toilets and showers were clean and free The site was ideally situated for a visit to Versailles. We went by bus one day to do the house then by bike through the queens gate the next day to do the gardens and Trianons. If you do this bear in mind the gates don’t open until noon.

Do not stay here if you are towing a caravan! Access to the site is difficult along a narrow road with parked cars. The pitches are very basic (rough earth with tree roots and stumps). In wet weather the pitches become waterlogged and muddy. The only thing going for this site is its proximity to the palace! It is overpriced at €45 per night, low season. We will not return!
