Very good hotel in down. location and service are both nice. We felt living in our home.

Accueil chaleureux, emplacement idéal, chambre agréable et secteur calme.

Hotel looked nice from the outside and location is perfect for visiting Versailles. However that was my only experience of the hotel as they did not honour my booking (presumably they found someone else who booked at a higher rate) and attempted to move us to the much inferior sister hotel across the street. What made it worse is that they attempted to blame me/the travel agent as if I had made some error in the booking even though it was all paid for in advance. They made it seem they were doing me a favour in giving me a room at the stuffy 2* place next door without refunding any portion of the stay I had paid for. Dishonest place, did not expect this kind of behaviour in a supposed first world country.

Visit was a stop en route from Italy to Cherbourg. Needing rest and food. The hotel advertised and booked on Bookings.com. It stated that there was parking which ended up being on street approximately 500M away. Breakfast was €13ish which we decided to look at before we agreed to in the end we declined as we deemed it to be bad value. WiFi didn’t work in our allotted room 53. Photos of the room were taken by a professional photographer to achieve the required view. The TV, after being turned off, continually turned itself back on every 2 minutes all night. The roof was quite low and a danger to tall heads. The room would be very suitable for children, they’d see it as an adventure, but questionable for adults especially at full rate WiFi issue was raised with reception on check out. Also city tax was paid in cash but change was an issue as reception didn’t have an adequate float. Reception on Saturday night when we arrived at 21.00ish was off site. So not really a fully functioning hotel per say The room is overlooked by other rooms as there are no curtains on the velux roof windows.

Charming hotel less than 5 min walk to the main entrance of the Chateau de Versailles. Looks old on the web site but it’s actually brand new inside. Comfy bed with lovely comforter, modern water saving bathroom with warming towel rack, great staff. Breakfast was pricy (13 euros) but a good variety of foods: hard boiled eggs, cold cuts, cheese, fruit, yogurt, croissants and other vienoisseries, toast, cereal, juice, coffee. Breakfast is served in a yurt! Hotel is so close to the palace, you can’t imagine. And not far from the train station too! If I’m ever lucky enough to return to Versailles I will definitely stay here
