We were so looking forward to our 1 night stay judging from previous 5 star comments...the grounds are certainly pretty although there is a busy main road that runs behind the garden wall which dampens the country charm. The rooms and linens were spotless, but the bathroom left to be desired notably the wash basin...ughh black mold scum stuck hard to the corners (see photo) that was impossible to remove (this was not new as there was a mold remover spray in the cupboard)...simply time to change basin. Continetal breakfast was fine but served at coffee table level (a bit low). Monsieur Francois the owner seemed somewhat aloof.

This is wonderful place to stay , the room was exceptional , spotlessly clean and well furnished . Eating a splendid breakfast outside in the grounds made the stay a real treat . Helpful and attentive owner who paid attention to details during our stay .

Nous avons passé 2 nuits en couple au Grand Saint Marc. Nous avions réservé par les Gîtes de France qui est un organisme très fiable. L'accueil a été chaleureux. le Grand Saint Marc est un endroit très charmant pour une escale. Nous remercions les propriétaires de bien vouloir nous accueillir dans ce domaine chargé d'histoire. Nous mesurons tous les 2 plus d'1m80 et nous n'avons cogné ni dans la porte basse ni dans la poutre. La chambre est aménagée avec goût et est très propre. La literie est de qualité. Le petit déjeuner est copieux. Il y a du café , thé et tisane à disposition. L'accès est facile à trouver et le parking sécurisé. Nous recommandons ce lieu. Myriam et Emmanuel.
