The Staff are below average for Helpfulness, Friendlyness and Respectless towards GUESTS. Guests Are the only Reason for the Existance of a Hotel and the Only Reason for having Staff. At first apperance the garden, parking area and grounds are clean, but the garden needs attendance. Reception Staff are Not Helpful, do Not offer Assistance with luggage. Guests have to wait at check-in desk, until the Clerk has finished staring at the computer or finished talking to colleague. Rooms are clean and functional, but decor is dated. Maintenance on buildings are totally neglected. The restaurant staff are extremely slow and unwilling to assist. One has to walk towards them where they are standing, seemingly hiding from Guests. Orders are incomplete, when eventually received. Buffet style breakfast is well prepared and varied with good quality. Please, do Not Expect much from restaurant staff, as it seems they have the idea that Guests should rather self serve and not bother them. Senior Staff Members were Not Visible Anywhere. This is an important function of Management, but Emerald resort does Not realise the Importance. The lack of Service from Staff is a clear indication of a Lack of Guidance from Management. This could EASILY be turned to better, IF Management realise Their Responsibility towards Guests and the establishment. Stand up and Manage Yourselves and Staff and All will change towards an enjoyable and memorable experience to Guests.
