Hôtel Restaurant le Clos Charmant

Greg and Sophie are excellent hosts. The hotel has 10 rooms. It is well kept. Smart and cosy. The pool is large enough to swim properly. Breakfast on the terrace in the sun was great.

Not a very charming start when we arrived early and were told to come back at 1600, not even invited to leave the car in the lot. Functional best describes things. There were no coffee making facilities. Keys are very large, meant to be left behind. They are left in an open area, the honour system evidently in place. The wifi was strong. The toilet and shower/sink are separate. The place was clean. There was a chair, desk, luggage rack and cupboards to hang clothes. There was a complimentary bottle of water. The breakfast cost 9 euros and was hardly grand but enough to tide one over. The hotel is close enough to visit the town and consider other restaurants if so inclined. Had a chuckle when checking out when the lady said I talked English fast. I have always felt [my mom being French Canadian] French is spoken very quickly. Overall, the duo that runs the place work hard and the venue is decent.

The hotel owners Greg and Sophie were very welcoming and friendly. The hotel is beautiful. Very smart and well maintained. The air conditioning was efficient and quiet. The swimming pool was such a bonus on a hot day. Breakfast was a lovely experience. I would recommend this lovely hotel to anyone wanting some personalised quality time.

The hotel was amazing with the best hosts we have encountered in all our years of travelling - they could not be more accommodating. We are on a cycling holiday and they had secure bike storage. Hotel is well located, immaculately clean and so welcoming. We opted for dinner which was home cooked and amazing value at 24 euros for four courses. If staying in this area definitely use this hotel.

Si vous souhaitez visiter la basse Ardèche (gorges de l'Ardèche, Grotte CHAUVET, et bien d'autres lieux), vous serez totalement satisfait par cet hôtel-restaurant familial situé en ville et animé par Sophie et Grégory. C'est sans doute le plus ancien hôtel à Vallon Pont d'Arc entièrement rénové par les deux propriétaires. Nous l'avons fréquenté en juin 2024 avec un groupe d'une dizaine d'amis pour notre plus grand plaisir. Nous étions en demi-pension pour 3 nuitées. Grégory nous a régalé par sa cuisine et Sophie a toujours assuré un service à l'accueil et à table impeccable. Ils ont beaucoup d'idées sur les sorties possibles sortant des sentiers battus. Les chambres sont petites mais climatisées et très confortables, le lieu dispose d'une piscine et d'un grand parking gratuit et sécurisé. C'est le lieu idéal pour un week-end ou des vacances inoubliables sans que cela vous coûte une fortune. Si nous revenons en Ardèche, nous retournerons à coup sûr dans cet établissement.

le clos charmant n est pas le clos gourmant ! menu du soir sans choix ! avec néanmoins un prix élevé . Les prétendues paupiettes de veau sont en fait des boulettes avec une viande de type indeterminé.! Le dessert a tout du surgelé, bref allez manger au village le plus proche.
