Torre de Palma Wine Hotel, Monforte, a Member of Design Hotels

We had the most wonderful experience at Torre de Palma. The property is beautiful, the rooms luxurious and the staff incredible. From the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out we felt taken care of. Housekeeping came to light our wood stove on a cold rainy day, the front desk booked lunch reservations and tours/tastings at local vineyards, the waitstaff at the restaurant split our 2 shared entres onto 2 plates each and served the fish first then the beef. We were sad to only be able to spend 2 nights and are already planning to add a few nights there on our next trip to Portugal. Hands down our favorite Portugal experience to date.

I LOVED Torre de Palma SO MUCH. We were there for a family wedding, so the entire hotel was filled with our family and friends. The staff worked so hard to take care of us. They gave us an experience I will never forget. There was so many amenities and it was very relaxing. The rooms were gorgeous and I loved seeing all the different ways they were decorated. I hope to come back some day!

We got married at Torre De Palma over Labor Day weekend. It met our expectations and then some! The venue is absolutely stunning. Rooms are unique and super comfortable. And the villa for the couple is to die for. Not to mention the staff. Margarida, our wedding planner, was an immense help and delivered us the perfect weekend. Most notably, helping us get 70+ guests back and forth from Lisbon and another hotel throughout the weekend. She was there for everything that I needed and made our day truly unforgettable. Also want to give a big shout-out to Goncalo and the kitchen/bar staff. Anything we asked for, any help we needed, they were there. They made our guests feel welcome, valued, and taken care of. I only heard amazing things from all of our guests about how great the team at Torre is. Our guests enjoyed horse rides, tastings, great food, and one amazing party! I couldn't recommend this hotel more for weddings, group trips, and just a beautiful stay. We will never, ever forget our weekend at Torre de Palma and play to be back over and over again :)

Gorgeous place! We were there for a wedding (which was stunning) and you couldn't ask for a more beautiful and picturesque atmosphere. The architecture, design, and surrounding grounds all set an aesthetic and engaging vibe. We loved taking walks around seeing the horses, cats, and various forms of wildlife as well as the vineyards and roman ruins. The pools are beautiful. The staff is incredibly kind and super accommodating. All of our needs were met so quickly and thoughtfully. Torre de Palma is such a stunning place to get away, I wouldn't hesitate to book it for a visit or an event!

The hotel was in a stunning and peaceful location. Our room, large, airy and comfortable. The pool area had plenty of loungers, although the pool was a little cold at this time of the year! In the evening, welcome drinks were offered at the top of the tower, where you could watch the sun go down. Staff were excellent, and we loved the wine tour, led by Jasmine, who was very knowledgeable and interesting. The food in the restaurant was lovely as was the wine! Everything was made easy for us during our stay, and we would love to visit again someday.

Set in Portugal’s serene Alentejo region, Torre de Palma Wine Hotel completely won my group over with its blend of history, hospitality, and wine. Anchored by a 14th-century tower, the whitewashed estate combines rustic charm with modern comfort. I loved watching the sunset from the rooftop, tasting wines straight from the cellar, and soaking in the unhurried pace of the countryside. Balancing luxury and authenticity, Torre de Palma felt like a romantic, peaceful escape that perfectly captures the essence of Portugal’s wine country.
