Kairaba Bodrum Princess & Spa - All Inclusive

This is my opinion of our all inclusive visit to Myella Travelled 30 Sept - 9 Oct through Love Holidays (LH). LH, overall no issues from booking, departure and return. Everything was smooth and as expected. Room - swim up room, lay out of room works well with personal sun beds on small patio area to swim up pool. Basic amenities with kettle, fridge and air con (works when all doors shut). Housekeeping mostly daily if required, depends what used to but didn’t make beds but changed towels and toilet rolls, not always changing dirty mugs for tea/coffee or general clean. I found the cleanliness quite poor, floor left my feet dirty and places needed a good scrub, maybe end of season lack of effort. The room is quite noisy (3119, swim up room) as it is based just below the restaurant, by the shop and entrance from the pool and people traffic through the corridors is very loud and echoes, as it’s marble floor and like a tunnel. Speaking to others there is generally lots of noise, the hotel is laid out in a horseshoe so maybe this adds to the noise. Swim up rooms, dependant when visiting but October and one side of the hotel gets no sun all day. 3119 had sun between 11:00-18:00. Food & drink - general all inclusive food (European menu). If fussy or vegetarian there is little option, maybe some chips, bread, pizza and variety of salads. Do not expect a standard English fry up, maybe an omelette, scrambled or a fried egg. Food not always warm and considering end of season there were long queues and generally no etiquette from other hotel guests whilst waiting #keepyourcool. There did not seem to be enough seats for dinner and often people walking around with food looking for somewhere to sit. One 24 hour bar and a pool bar which was managed effectively and didn’t wait long for drinks. I am not usually very good with local spirits but I managed to find a mix and there was Pepsi light or soda. Plenty of water available from fridges around the hotel. Typical prices - at time currency 33TL/£1. Efes Beer 90-150 TL Coke 130TL Burger and chips 250TL+ Water 60TL Crisps 40TL Facilities - didn’t not use main pool, as had access to swim up room, but looked ok and could see available sun beds all day, every day. Previous reviews mentioned loud music around the pool, there was music daily which was mostly at a reasonable level. There were occasions where this was louder but dependant on the audience or requests from holidaymakers. Turkish bath, we had a 30 minute treatment (€35) and 120 minute (€100). You may get better deals in town but for local and ease the experience was good enough. Al a carte, no longer runs after end of September, which was disappointing, as may have helped the main restaurant capacity. Entertainment, did not really attend but ranged from Turkish nights, bingo and karaoke. These are held in a conference room inside which was restrictive with numbers and not the best for holding events in my opinion. Beach - very small are

Just returned home from a very enjoyable time at Myella, we booked this very last minute myself my husband and our daughter. Our transfer was 1h 20 but didn't feel to long we thought we we're going to have a big coach but it was like a private mini bus with one other family in so was quicker. The pictures could do with being updated as they aren't completely a true representation of the hotel but never the less it did not disappoint us. Our room was lovely clean and tidy we were on the top floor in a superior sea view room with a double ballcony there was a mini bar of soft drinks that you got at no extra cost but wasn't stocked up after that. Plenty of bottled water always We had slipper waiting for us as well, WiFi, Aircon all good. Only downside was you could hear the restaurant underneath your room wasn't to bad but could definitely hear it if you were having a lay in First impression of the hotel really beautiful loved all the paintings around the hotel all the different chairs to sit in we're lovely colours and comfortable too Outside chairs weren't to comfy but not the end of the world. Pools, spa beach swing really nice 24 hour bar with everything you need Pepsi 7up Fanta, on tap fresh juice cocktail beer wine and fridge full of bottle of water we really liked that they had small bottles too as they were easy to drink and good for little ones. Food was lovely tasted really nice fresh. Everyday something different Breakfast was nice not a massive choice but tasted nice, they need a toaster with jams as they used a toasty machine and it's not the best. Dinner at the pool bar was yum !! 12pm onwards Different menus everyday recommend the pasta and chickens dishes they are really tasty. So much fruit everyday was lovely the preaches were so nice. Ice creams and lollies in the freezer choose your own as many as you want untill they run out but there was plenty for everyone. Water fridges round the hotel Waffles we're served between 4pm-5pm at the pool bar freshly made infont of you Evening dinner 7pm-9pm beautiful dinner really nice food can't fault it plenty of food for everyone. Desserts really lovely they like to put nuts and almonds in alot of the cakes so just be mindful not that we are complaining but just wanted to let you know. Plenty of fruit again at dinner table service for drinks too. When we arrived there wasn't many English in the hotel and some staff struggled to communicate as they didn't speak great English but we got by. The only upsetting thing was we didn't get to enjoy the Al la cart as they were booked up all week and there wasn't many spaces also the guest relations lady wasn't too helpful she didn't seem to have much time of day for me. The rest of the hotel staff were really friendly and kind. Evening entertainment was nice but nothing spectacular quiz night, (bingo had to pay for) DJ night No major shows like belly dancers or whirling durbish ect... Just come back from a 14 night holiday here.1st impressions were good ,taken to our room and were shown air con, safe etc by friendly member of staff.Then shortly after the so called music got louder and more aggressive. If you like booming, rapping music at full blast (everyone we spoke to didn't)this starts in the afternoon, morning is OK and late evening.If you like relaxing music don't go to this hotel. The daily room cleaning consisted of changing towels,throwing duvet over and occasionally emtying the bin. Food is geared up for the many large groups of Turkish guests which keep arriving every few days and waste most of the food they pile up on their plates. We are really not fussy eaters but couldn't find much at all we felt like eating at evening meal. Most of the staff seem miserable apart from the pancake/ omelette lady who smiled the whole 2 weeks and always spoke with you . Didn't see anyone who looked like they were management and organising things. Pools were lovely, we swam before breakfast every morning in both .Also we had a lovely sunset drink every night on the terrace. Jack the boat trip seller was lovely always had a chat with you. This hotel is in a lovely position, we got out and about loads on the local bus which you catch from turgetreis bus station and is very cheap. All in all we had a really good holiday and would come back to this area but definitely not in this hotel.This should be a 3 star hotel definitely not 5 star.

Would like to start by saying the staff are great. Bubbly, fun, try their best. Special mentions to Bugra, Emine, Gürkan, Aydin the bellboy, Serkan, Yusuf and Faruk at the bar and Ayhan and Selanaddin. Not many staff speak English but Google translate is a wonderful thing! Unfortunately unlike the staff, the hotel does not live up to expectations. Billed as a 5 star hotel I have certain expectations and this really didn’t hit them. The food in the main restaurant is not very nice and certainly not of a three star standard let alone a 5 star standard. Ended up eating out a lot of the time making the ‘all-inclusive’ pretty redundant except for the drinks which were ok. Hadn’t budgeted for this so ended up spending £1k on food over the 9 night stay for my family of 5. The sun loungers where broken, it was a struggle to find one without some part of it damaged making them uncomfortable to lay on. I had issues with my balcony door on the first day, response time to come and fix it was 1 hour after being told three times ten minutes. Interior Door frame on the other room we had fell off 6 days into the holiday due to an obviously cheap repair to the door being kicked off at some point in time which in hindsight rendered the lock totally useless as it was held on by glue. Again had to wait an hour for a repairman to screw the frame back to the wall (had it been done like that in the first place the frame wouldn’t of fallen off and the lock would, as it is now, be of some use). Found out after speaking to other guests that their balcony doors wouldn’t lock either so obviously an issue that needs addressing in this ‘5 star’ venue. The cleaning staff seemed to help themselves to crisps and food left in the room as had crisps opened and half eaten and on one occasion our entire Dominoes Pizza order for the evening meal (yes the food was that bad) was thrown away (or eaten) by the cleaning staff. The manager was completely useless when asked about this, with a ‘oh well, your problem’ type of response. Herbalife took over the complex, doing as they pleased and it was obvious these were the priority as I suppose they are a steady income for the hotel. The Spa was good, Ali was very pleasant, and the two girl masseuse were very good at their job. The pool was clean but the safety railing held on by zip ties, again not very becoming of a 5 star establishment…felt like 3 star at best…run down tired hotel…beds with the smallest pillows and covers I’ve ever seen. Disappointing in so many aspects. A’la carte restaurant wasn’t open despite still being advertised as open during these dates when booking the hotel. The shower was amazing and the only thing that was anywhere near 5 star quality even if the actual tiles were grimy and again not of a 5 star standard. The market (shop) is reasonably priced and run by a lovely couple although twenty minutes up the road is the town centre which is obviously a lot cheaper. On arrival we were shown to our room, and was pleased to see we were allocated a sea view overlooking the pool. After breakfast we enjoyed the cooling delights of the pool. The service was excellent and a special mention must go to our waiter, Abdullah. Who couldn't do enough for us during our seven day break. My wife and I agreed that this was the most relaxing holiday we have ever had and sorely needed, particularly for my wife. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel.

Hotel is very far from airport and city center, but there is a very nice and not small market 30 minutes of walk from the hotel there is even a starbucks place. Service was very good and staff are nice eventhough they dont speak english. Food is good and changed everyday also on the pool resturant, but dont try the orange juice cause it is only water even after I complained. Rooms are not quite and can hear everything outside of the rooms Cats were also guests in the hotel and joined us to the reaturant. Pool is nice and also some rooms has the private pool, we could not find sun beds cause ppl put there towels and go to sleep,could not find any of the staff to handle this.no uber and no big taxies and you cant rent a big car, so if you are a group of 5+ ppl , you can use the shuttle service from the hotel which costs 10€ per person. Pool missing activies and the kids 15 & 12 got very boarded, other than swimming there is nothing to do.
