Both levels of the house have their outside entry, so there’s no need to carry luggage up or down any stairs.The newly remodeled house has an eclectic modern flair. The kitchen has all-new stainless steel appliances, beautiful butcher-block countertops, and plenty of dishes and utensils for preparing family feasts!The master bedroom has a king-size bed and a private bathroom with a shower/tub combination. Built in 1956, this charming home masterfully combines the classic architecture from that era with a colorful modern flare that creates the perfect balance of old & new. The owner has lovingly restored, refurnished and redecorated the home with your comfort and enjoyment as a priority. Add to that the fact that he chose a manager whose houses have been voted "Best Vacation Home in Kaweah Country" for five years in a row, and you have the makings for a perfect experience.The main house opens into a brilliant living room featuring floor to ceiling windows showcasing the Sierra Nevada mountains. You'll find lots of comfy seating, a woodstove, large screen smart TV and amazing local artwork adorning the walls. The open floor plan includes a dining table that will seat six and a full kitchen complete with a gas oven & stovetop, new refrigerator/freezer, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, blender, cookware, dinnerware...you name it. Inside you will find a bedroom with a new Cal King bed, outstanding views of the great outdoors, coffee service, mini fridge, big closet, cabinets for your storage and a full bathroom with tub/shower. We provide a double bed size Memory Foam fold-out mattress with linens if you need additional sleeping space in the studio. The studio's climate is controlled by a ductless mini-split offering both heating & cooling in an efficient and quiet manner.We happily provide unlimited hi-speed internet (Spectrum approx 75Mbps download speed) for our guests who like to stay connected or are on a working vacation. This location is a family-friendly property with almost an acre of riverfront enjoyment!We have outdoor games such as ladder ball toss and corn hole. There is a large open part of the backyard for general running around…maybe playing a favorite family game or throwing a baseball or football back and forth. Directly behind the house are giant boulders that qualify for “King of the Mountain” status for the young and young at heart! Best of all is the river just below the outside dining patio. Just walk down a few steps, and you can wade in the whitewater middle fork of the Kaweah River. You can watch rafters and kayakers float past you at certain times of the year. We have a wide variety of birds, and watching their antics as they dart and fly through the trees along the beach is fun. We always consider it good luck to see the great blue heron fishing from a boulder or flying up or down the river. Deer and even bears walk through occasionally. (We have black bears here, which are usually very timid; it’s a thrill to see them foraging for acorns and lunging up a tree.)Gravel walkways surround the house and encourage you to enjoy the natural beauty of this spectacular location from every angle. The rock gardens and giant boulders allow you to sit quietly and listen to nature and your thoughts.This privately owned, single-family home is 800 square feet and sleeps six. It has one full bathroom, two bedrooms—one king and one double—and a full-size convertible sofa in the living room. It also boasts a washer and dryer in the outside laundry room (if you have used all your beach towels or shorts!). We have a newly remodeled kitchen with granite countertops stocked with all the necessities, including a dishwasher, coffee maker, microwave, blender, and toaster. There are some spices and spice blends to stir your creativity into making meals right in your own vacation home. In addition, there is a gas grill and a covered patio table for dining. There is also a fabulous rocking swing for two or three people to sit and watch the river go by!The sunny dining nook offers a nest to enjoy your outdoor views.
