A lovely clean hotel on the lake. This hotel surpassed our expectations with the level of service from the amazing staff. A special mention to the reception staff who went out of their way to help. A special mention to Danielle, Michelangelo and all the other bar staff who were so accommodating. Our stay was made so much better by the welcoming attitude of all the staff and we would be more than happy to return.

During our anniversary stay at Hotel Du Lac, we experienced a mix of positives and areas for improvement. The hotel itself is nicely renovated and boasts a fantastic location right on the lake, which is undoubtedly its standout feature. The cleanliness of the hotel was commendable, and the bed and bathroom facilities were comfortable. The breakfast offered a delightful start to the day, with friendly and helpful cafe/restaurant staff enhancing the dining experience. However, our room, located next to the elevator, was noisy and had a persistent chemical smell that lingered despite airing it out. This was a significant discomfort during our stay. We promptly asked to change the room but we were told that it wasn’t possible as all check-ins were done in the morning (we checked in at 15:00 as per hotel request), meaning they give away the best rooms if you go first? Worth noting that we added a note to our booking of being about our wedding anniversary, which was ignored. While the hotel’s agreement with a local beach club is a nice touch, the lack of communication regarding the towel arrangement was inconvenient, leading to an unnecessary back-and-forth trek and an additional fee that felt petty given the room’s price point. This, coupled with the reception staff’s cold demeanor, was a missed opportunity to make guests feel truly welcome, especially on special occasions like anniversaries. Considering these aspects, I rate Hotel Du Lac 3 out of 5 stars. The hotel shines in cleanliness and location, but the reception service and room quality need attention to truly make it a good and welcoming experience.

A ***** experience at this hotel set at the heart of Gardone Riviera. We had a wonderful week exploring Lake Garda by ferry and by comparison Gardone is a beautiful and relaxing place to stay with no crowds . Reception were very helpful with advice on where to visit each day. Our room (305) was very large with two small balconies with furniture to sit and enjoy a side view of lake and the square below. A fridge, always good. The beds , bedding and towels were all good quality . The breakfast buffet is delightful and I could not resist the wonderful cakes . Most mornings this could be taken sitting right by the lake. I do not believe this could be bettered. Our thanks to all the wonderful staff.

This hotel is spotlessly clean, and has comfortable good quality furnishings. The staff are pleasant and helpful. Anything we requested appeared immediately. At breakfast we were spoilt for choice, everything we could want and plenty of it. The views from our terrace (we had a corner room) were spectacular both of the lake and the piazza. This is a place where you can truly relax. It's also good value for money.

Hotel Du Lac is a clean, accommodating hotel right on Lake Garda. The owner is hands- on, and staff was very helpful. Free buffet breakfast and discount coupons for boat tours are a nice added benefit. We wished the beach and pool were closer to the hotel, however worth the short walk. I would highly recommend Hotel Du Lac for your visit to Gardone Riveria!

A beautiful hotel in a gorgeous location. We had a room with a spacious terrace overlooking the lake. Stunning. The hotel is immaculate, the staff are friendly, attentive and helpful. A wide selection of breakfast choices and delicious food in the restaurant. Highly recommend!!

It was really nice staying at Hotel du Lac the room was so clean loved the view from our terrace in the morning and omg the quality of the breakfast so many choices, I liked the fresh juice red orange from Sicilia , we really loved our short stay deffo will be back soon

Our stay at this hotel was as near perfection as is possible. Our room had a small balcony which looked out over Lake Garda. The view was spectacular. The staff were exceptional, helping in every way they could. The restaurant was excellent. The food was without fault and again the staff were out of this world. There was easy access to the Lake Garda boat service. I am adding this hotel to my (very short) list of hotels to be revisited.

This hotel is located on the lake front and our room had a lovely view overlooking the lake. The standard of cleanliness is very high and the buffet breakfast is excellent with plenty of choice. The area itself is gorgeous too, and easy to get around with nice restaurants & cafes. We also took the boat trips to a couple of the other islands which were much more crowded. It was nice to return to the serenity of this hotel! The only ****** related to the evening meal we had st the hotel restaurant. We found the main waiter that evening to be, at best, grumpy and at times actually rude. For that reason we dined elsewhere on the other evenings. The food was good though. As a family we hope to return to this area and we would definitely stay in this hotel again.
