호텔 토레마르 - 마레스(Hotel Torremar - Mares)

We had stayed at this central hotel a couple of years ago and enjoyed ourselves so much we went back. It isn't a fancy place but it is very comfortable indeed and has everything you could want in central location. They do have on site parking but there's lots of free parking down at the beach so we left our car there. It was only a two minute walk to get back to the hotel. Check in was fast and friendly and with good English and our bad Spanish! The room itself is very basic but had everything we needed and we slept particularly well. Fairly typically for a Spanish hotel they don't have kettles but you can request one from Reception and they will give you a tray with cups and so on. Breakfast is a buffet style of hot and cold food and is until 11 am which is great. We went for a walk along the beach 1st to work up an appetite and enjoyed it even more as a result.

The en suite room was perfectly clean and its location is in the heart of Nerja with excellent access to the beach. I really recommend it

Loved how clean it looked! The hotel was very close to the beach which was great and the breakfast was very good. Although I would not recommend their shuttlebus service because there was allot of miscommunication with the taxi company about payment. Besides that I had a great time and it was a amazing hotel for my vacation.

I booked into Hotel Torremar as my sister was in the local hospital. We didn't know how long we would be in Spain so only booked 2 nights. The room was very clean and bright, and the shower was hot, and the bed very comfortable. We had a balcony, although the view was only the shops below. We had to book in for an extra night, we were unable to keep the same room, so we were moved to another room. The receptionists were extremely helpful and showed us how to get to the hospital. When we first booked in, it was approx 1.00am but the gentleman receptionist was very welcoming and made our check in very easy. If I were to visit Velez Malaga again, I would definitely return to Hotel Torremar.

A comfortable, clean hotel ideally situated in the centre of the holiday area of Torre del Mar. Lots of restaurants and bars literally on the doorstep. This is a Spanish resort so don’t expect the waiters to speak perfect English or expect an English roast or a full Monty breakfast offered. During the holiday season and at weekends expect noise, especially in the street facing rooms.

Very nice hotel, nice area. Very good trasport connection. Very close to the beach and the breakfast amazing. Highly recommended.

The AC is not on in the spring and the hotel faces a busy street so windows open on a hot night very noisy and full of mosquitoes. We did not get any sleep that night. The following day the staff was super nice. We change rooms to a less noisy area but the AC couldn’t be connected in 24hours. They were nice about it but if you need to sleep in a cool room. This hotel might not be for you if you plan to visitin the spring

It was just a two night stay for us at this well located town centre hotel and we had a really good time. Other than a couple of minor ******* it was pretty much perfect and we would definitely use it again if we were to stay in town. Parking is easy and free. We just used Satnav to get level with it on the Beach Road and there’s a big free carpark there. The hotel is just over one minute from the beach so very easy indeed. The room itself was very comfortable with good air-conditioning, a wonderful balcony which we spent loads of time on and reasonably comfortable beds. There is a safe available for hire. In terms of noise, there was a little bit but no more than any other hotel and we slept really well both nights. The ******* were that the Internet was quite weak in our room and certainly didn’t work on the balcony. The toiletries weren’t great either and it could do with a toilet brush but they are minor things in the overall scheme of it. The sun terrace was of no use to us as it did have sunbeds but absolutely no shade so it was too hot up there. The breakfast was excellent with lots of choices. The coffee was great but the orange juice not that good.

Our stay at hotel Torremar was very nice, quite & comfortable. The reception staff where very helpful.
