르 프랑코 벨쥬(Logis le Franco Belge)

We slept 2 nights in Le franco Belge, while doing a bicycle trip. The hotel is in a good location, in the centre of town, and close to the bicycle route Trans-Ardennes, La Meusa à Vélo and close to the Route Semoysienne. Important, you can park the bicycles in a safe place. Our room was small, but clean and quiet, with basic comfort. Small, standard breakfast buffet. What we like, was the green terrace at the hotel, where we could eat outside in the evening. Good food. We had half board, but next time we should go for bed and breakfast, because half board has a limited choice for diner. In front of the hotel is the Tourism Office. Very kindly lady there, who even let us put our luggage there, because Le Franco Belge was still closed when we arrived at noon.

This is a very bad experience. We have been “welcomed” by the owner by him closing the door in front of us and yelling at us that check-in time is 5pm, that he does not care about us having 6 hours of driving and being tired. We were puzzled at this behavior and at this man almost scolding us. Unfortunately this hotel is not a hotel: opening hours are at 5pm, earlier than that no chance. When I complained at this behavior when then finally checking-in at 5pm, the second employee had almost the same attitude, defending the other employee and putting the blame on us, that we arrived too early. Yes, we were too early, but simply and politely wanted to ask if one could find a solution. We do not think that blaming, scolding and shutting the door in front of a paying customer is acceptable. We have been informed by the employees of another restaurant-hotel near-by that this location and this people are famous for such behaviors. Overall, the room was very small, not in accordance with the pictures shown.

Accueil chaleureux et convivial. Hôtel très propre, confortable, lits douillets et très calme. Restauration du terroir excellente, côte de cochon et boudin blanc, produits régionaux exceptionnels et travaillés avec maitrise.

Proprietaires /accueil très sympa. Hotel simple mais excellent rapport qualité/prix. Excellent terrace ou siroter une verre ou manger un bon plat avec des ingredients la région, le patron au fourneau. Nous avons séjourner ici plusieurs fois et retournons toujours avec plaisir, aussi bien que pour séjourner à l'Hotel ou simplement manger au Restaurant.

Excellente découverte . Nous nous sommes régalés avec l'assiette ardennaise. Personnel agréable et a l'écoute. Pour la peine on y retourne vendredi pour goûter d'autres plats . rapport qualité prix au top. Je recommande à 100%

Je ne peux pas dire grand chose si ce n'est que j'ai essayé de joindre cet établissement pendant une semaine pour une réservation pour 9 personnes (messages, appels téléphoniques) et que je n'ai jamais pu obtenir de réponse.

Sejour formidables, Accueille formidable, tous le personnels est tres gentille, petit déjeuner copieux, le restaurants et tres bon avec des assiette tres bien fournie. L'hôtel est jolie, les chambre sont chaleureuse. Nul doute que si je repasse dans le coins je m'y arrêterait a nouveau

L'Hôtel est situé sur un site magnifique, calme et vivant. Avec des sentiers bien balisés et connus. On a pu choisir entre repas en restaurant et pique-nique selon l'activité du moment. On y retournera.
