The bottomline is it's not worth it. What they showcase is not what you get in reality. Many things they mention as part of you category of reservation are missing. No soap in bathroom, no fruit serving for the stay. They promised breakfast ready by 7:00am, and kept blaming that the kitchen was not ready until after 7:30am, and we had to leave without. The hotel is more of a show-off than actual content.

The hotel was fabulous and the staff wonderful but we had a distinct feeling that we had arrived at the end of the season and things were being wound down. There were items off the menu, there was no beer and the lift was awaiting a repair. Saying that, I'm sure that this hotel would be superb because the staff were so nice, the place was so immaculately kept and the room was just gorgeous.

Stayed in Svatma, Tanjaor on 16th May 2025 wirh family and it was the worst hotel experience I ever had. 1: Rooms were not clean especially the toilet. Water stain on the mirrors and wall. 2: Used bath gels (small bottles not big ones) 3: No brush/toothpaste provided. 4: No mini bar. There was a note that they have emptied the mini bar so that we can keep our stuff. 5: TV was not working. No channels, it always played the hotel AD. 6: Wifi was not functioning. It never accepted the passwords given for both the rooms. 7': There was no coffee and sugar packets available in one of the rooms. 8: Pool was under maintenance 9: There was no traditional welcome as indicated in the itinerary. 10: Worst thing - there was no light in the dining area the entire duration of our breakfast. When we asked about the power backup they said power will be restored soon but it nothing happened. We finished our breakfast without light😡 I had booked Svtma based on the reviews but I never had such a bad experience from any hotels - even the cheapest ones do a better job than this. Top dollar prices for dust and mosquitoes, shabby sheets and cockroaches in the room, flies on the food, poorly stocked bar and absent chef’s who had to be called back to cook and serve food at 9:15pm. This is after calling the hotel to say we would be late returning to the hotel and being assured the ‘restaurant’ shuts at 10:30pm. The staff, when we found them, were few and untrained - and there was nobody who could speak English on the day we arrived. They even left our identity documents unattended on the table in a room with the door wide open. We spent 3 nights there which was the worst decision of our trip. The most aggravating was the lack of acceptance of the wide gap between the price and what was being offered. No apology from the owners. No decision making ability in staff. Everyday was a new low. They claim on @svatmahertiage

The rooms are large and well appointed but the general area whilst very smart felt lacking. The restaurant is ok but we avoided the buffet as felt limited and over priced. The biggest issue is after check out the team could not get back into the room to collect the bags after waiting 30 min we got another key cut and got into the room instantly no one in the hotel team thought of that and were disassembling the lock.

I visited lunch in that restaurant worst experience ever I face in luxurious hotel. No smiley face welcome and no one smile in that entire hotel. Food quality worst and best part of the hotel is coffee. Price also tooo high. Can't visit again.

Thoroughly enjoyed being here except I was far too hot overnight and didn't sleep well. Otherwise excellent.Very Good cleaning and Good service. Staffs all are very supportive and friendly. svatma is very Good Hotel in my experience. Very nice.

A well created resort with typical decoration s of that region. Pleasing green environment and spaces to relax a good spa with massage facilities . Breakfast is quite substantial and well made . Staff is very helpful and courteous.in all a very comfortable stay . Located centrally to visit the palace museums and the famous Brihadeeshwara Temple . I Recommendthis place to anyone visiting Thanjavur.
