Charming establishment with a plenty of old English charm. The restaurant was nice and the pizzas have always been good. The staff was friendly and many quick with a smile. I've been here before and will definitely consider for my next trip to Tenterden.

Lovely place to stay very friendly staff and great Breakfast. Room was very nice and comfortable with lovely biscuits and tea and coffee available. There was a great choice for breakfast. Parking was available at the back of the hotel. Bed was comfortable.

We stayed at the White Lion for a night when visiting Chapel Down vineyard. We had a suite which was clean, spacious, and full of character with a very comfortable bed. Service throughout our stay was excellent. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Food, both dinner and breakfast, was great. We would definitely recommend the White Lion particularly paired with a visit to Chapel Down vineyard.

Friendly staff in a well run hotel with boutique style rooms and plenty of parking. We stayed for two nights and ate in the restaurant both nights. Great pizza one night and then from the a la carte. On both occasions the food exceeded our expectations which increasingly does not happen. The room was quirky in a good way with a comfortable bed and good facilities. The staff were all very helpful. We would recommend staying here.

Really enjoyed our one stay, the pub has a great ambience, friendly locals and staff made us very welcome. We had a meal in the restaurant, great food, plenty of choice, and the service was excellent. Our room for 2 was good size,clean pleasantly furnishings and the king size bed very comfortable. The bathroom could do with a minor makeover and both the shower and bath worked well with adequate water and pressure. There were four of us staying for one night and the breakfast was excellent, no fruit, but a full menu of various poached egg dishes, English breakfast, fish and vegetarian options, all served politely and efficiently. We will definitely be staying there again.

A really nice pub stay on a dinner b&b Sunday offer. We received a very warm welcome on arrival. The room was large & very well appointed & most importantly a very comfortable bed. Food was served in large portions, full English breakfast was enormous & delicious. Hannah looked after us as receptionist & waited on at dinner we were a party of 5 & she joined in the banter she was very professional & efficient as well as good fun. Breakfast was very well served by Mia & she was equally as friendly & efficient Thank you everyone

Had an enjoyable stay at the White Lion hotel. We had everything we needed in a room with character. The atmosphere in the hotel bar and dining area was warm and buzzy. The food was top quality and good value. Staff very friendly. Large, free hotel car park. Tenterden itself was a great place for browsing with loads of options for coffee etc.

We had a really great stay. The staff were really friendly and the room was super clean. The full English breakfast is something else , don't expect to eat much else until much later. We booked a comfy room, it really was spacious and comfy. Plenty of free parking . Would recommend staying here. 11/10

We (my wife and I and son/daughter-in-law) stayed at the White Lion on Feb 24 for bed and breakfast. We needed to visit a relative at a local care home over the weekend so needed a place to stay for one night. The hotel was very close to where we needed to be. It always seems booked up so we were fortunate to get the two rooms! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in every respect. The staff were great - helpful and very welcoming. We didn't know all the names but we were checked in by Nicole who was very friendly. The White Lion is a great pub - really atmospheric and the rooms were great. We really enjoyed the food which is of a very high standard - tasty and well-presented. We had an evening meal on the Saturday and a great breakfast on the Sunday morning. There are a number of pubs/hotels in the area. Admittedly, we haven't stayed in any of the others, but I think you'd be hard-pressed to find a better place to stay. If you're looking for a relaxing and comfortable place to say around Tenterden, with friendly staff, a great atmosphere and good food, look no further than the White Lion.
