We recently booked two rooms at Hotel Edelhof Tarvisio as part of a bike trip along the Alpe-Adria trail. Unfortunately, due to a mechanical failure with one of our rental bikes, my travel companion and I were stranded in Villach and couldn’t make it to the hotel as planned. The other couple we were traveling with did stay at the hotel, so only one of the two rooms would go unused. Understanding that I hadn’t purchased the booking protection, I made a reasonable request for a partial refund or compromise on the second room. I wasn’t asking for a full refund—just some flexibility given the circumstances that were completely beyond our control. What I received in return was a blunt, almost dismissive response from the hotel, without any consideration or empathy for our situation. When I attempted to negotiate a 50% refund on the unused room, the reply became defensive and even went so far as to threaten involving their legal department. While the hotel may be technically within their rights to deny a refund, I found the lack of basic customer service and understanding to be shocking. At the very least, I would expect some degree of professionalism, but what I got instead was rigid adherence to policy with no willingness to meet halfway. If you’re looking for a place with any sense of reasonable customer care, this hotel might not be the best choice. The cold, unyielding response left a bad taste in my mouth, and I certainly won’t be returning.

This hotel surprises you with their luxurious rooms. Our room had been updated with a fancy shower and room for four people. There’s a mini fridge and lots of closet space. The balcony affords an awesome view of the mountains. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Food is delicious. No complaints just compliments.

La mia esperienza presso l'albergo è stata purtroppo negativa a causa di un incidente che mi ha rovinato la vacanza. Sono arrivata ad agosto 2024 per un soggiorno di 10 giorni, e inizialmente tutto sembrava in ordine. Tuttavia, il giorno successivo al mio arrivo, ho notato che una somma di denaro che avevo messo nella mia borsa e lasciato in camera era scomparsa. Ho immediatamente cercato di risolvere la situazione con la direzione, ma purtroppo non ho ricevuto risposte soddisfacenti né soluzioni al problema. Questo ha sicuramente rovinato il mio soggiorno, poiché mi sono sentita poco sicura nella struttura. Oltre a questo problema, l'hotel era pulito e il personale, seppur cordiale, non è riuscito a gestire la situazione in maniera adeguata. Spero che l'albergo prenda delle misure per prevenire simili incidenti in futuro, ma per quanto mi riguarda, non posso consigliare questa struttura a chi cerca un soggiorno tranquillo.

Dopo quasi 30 anni di vacanze a Tarvisio ho scoperto questo ristorante. Ottimi piatti, buoni e ben curati, bell'ambiente e personale molto cortese e professionale. Buon rapporto qualità prezzo. Siete diventati il mio ristorante preferito della zona!

L'hotel è molto bello e confortevole. Camere ampie, arredate bene, bagno con doccia notevole e tecnologicamente dotata, posizione ottimale e tranquilla. Personale cortese, disponibile e professionale. Grande parcheggio. Il ristorante è raffinato, cucina gourmet, costo medio alto ma equiparato alla qualità. Super consigliabile. Noi ci torneremo sicuramente.
