Back for our annual visit to Dar Zitoune - nowhere else could you find guaranteed perfect weather, accommodation, heated pool and superb food just over three hours from London! The staff are always so welcoming and nothing is too much trouble for them. Taroudant has a few more tourists wandering the souks but is still very unspoilt and nobody pesters you like in Marrakech.

This was our 7th visit to this lovely hotel since our first visit in 2015. Family run with highly professional and friendly staff. Large pool area and well maintained gardens. Very comfortable and well appointed rooms.. super resturant and excellent poolside or room service.

We stopped in Taroudant on our way to Essaouira and we discovered a beautiful city where everyone is happy to see you. We stayed at a beautiful hotel, just a few minutes from the city. The hotel is quiet and the food is amazing. They serve great international food and their chef is amazing. The staff is proactive and they are all very nice. I have nothing negative to say about this place and I highly recommend it.

A beautiful hotel with wonderful gardens and swimming pool. The best dinner of the trip, perfectly cooked and presented. Super ambience in our bedroom with comfortable sofas and great attention to detail.

Very positively surprised by the quality and by the price/quality ratio of this hotel. Great bungalows or tents (we had a tent). Excellent service by an overall friendly team at reception and in the restaurant. Nice pools (2 pools and an open jacuzzi). Overall good dinner choice and good breakfast. The hotel is a couple of minutes out of the city and you need a car (or a taxi) to get tho town, however the equipment makes it worth to stay there. I would definitely make the choice again.

Back for the eighth or ninth time to our favourite winter sunshine hotel. We had not been for New Year's Eve before and we arrived just in time for dinner and the party and it was an evening to remember. We had a superb dinner, wonderful varied entertainment and a great atmosphere. Definitely recommend it. We had glorious weather all week and the standard of food and the attention of the staff was as always perfect.

After a couple of years not being able to travel to Morocco it was wonderful to return to Dar Zitoune. The service was as good as ever, the garden beautiful as always just as we remember it. Many of the old faces still there together with some new ones as well. We really felt we were back among old friends. Our bungalow was kept very clean and the laundry service efficient with same day service. There was always a waiter around when we wanted to order lunch by the pool. I say it again “great to be back”.

Just outside the relatively modest town of Taroudant, Dar Zitoune was an astonishing gem. Designed as individual bungalow-style dwellings in a charming garden (lovingly maintained and with all the exotic fruit trees labelled), it also has two generous sized pools, a smaller warmwater jacuzzi pool and very civilised restaurant area for dining indoors or out on the terrace. It is true that it's off the beaten track but I was so glad to have been introduced to it by the travel company we used, Naturally Morocco. A grown-up offering - in fact at the time we visited, most of the other guests were business visitors, some retirees, groups on culture tours - this made for an upmarket sense of calm and orderliness that did wonders for unwinding. Service was excellent and very understanding - we had to change certain evening plans one night at the last minute. For discerning travellers who've had enough of the chaos of inner cities, I'd highly recommend. Families would enjoy Dar Zitoune too, especially when the children are at an age when they can enjoy the garden and be fascinated by the unusual trees and flowers. With a licensed restaurant and bar, French and Moroccan cooking, (a different menu every day) and the walled seclusion of the pool area, Dar Zitoune has managed a balance between appealing to European tourists but still retaining an old-world African charm, respecting local habits and customs.

This was one of our hotel stops as we traveled Morocco on a 15 day tour. I stayed in the Melon villa which was beautiful. I wished could have stayed a lot longer there. The villa was decorated beautifully on the interior, had a Moorish inspired walk in shower, loved it. Some of the villas had step in tubs in Moorish inspired designed according to others in our group. The owners/managers were very friendly upon check out. Our dinner and breakfast that was included in our stay was good. The gardens are beautiful. I looked back as we drove off to notice the large wall that encloses the hotel to create the charming setting. Not sure what the rate is a night since we were on a pre paid package custom tour, what ever we paid was worth the price. The hotel staff was very attentive.
