Serein Beach Hotel

Room was smaller than expected, tiny bathroom, host very welcoming, was given a free cocktail in the evening and had a meal of chicken fried rice, upon checkout they charged us for the supposedly free cocktail and charged us triple the price of the meal which we could of got cheaper in any nearby restaurant, 🥴 nearest restaurants was a 15 minute walk away and Tangalle town about a 30 minute walk.

Great stay. Lovely and very helpful staff. Great breakfast! Pristine swimming pool on a lovely beach. Beach is not for swimming but fine to walk along the shore to see the impressive waves. Enough Restaurants in the neighborhood. We stayed with our 3 children and they loved it too.

Very beautiful place. Natural atmosphere and silence. Clean rooms, friendly staff, helpful manager Gaja. Delicious food (Rasai). If you are looking for “bounty” place - this is it. My best recommendations! Five 5 Stars for me. I’ll be back for sure!

We had a lovely stay here Here is what we liked about this hotel : The amazing beach in front The great and clean swimming pool The breakfast and overall restaurant quality The commun areas which are rally relaxing Restaurant staff and pool gentlemen are lovely and professional. The beautiful and peaceful garden (no music ! Perfect!!) Here is some suggestions to improve : Some rooms need a little renovations. Our room felt a bit tired, stains on the wall, on the lampshade, old curtains, old carpets in the room, broken closet, big room but small bed, only one coffee dose and one water for two... rooms are quite basic but the rest of the hotel is great!!!

Fantastic hotel in front of a wild beach, very nice cuisine and a friendly and professional staff. Spécial mention for Nipuna, for his kindness. He gave us good tips for the next days of our trip. Bohoma istouti !

Loved the hotel; the atmosphere, the structure and the fact that they offer rooms with everything you need in an environmental friendly accommodation. Absolutely loved the Sri Lankan curry’s, definitely the best dish in the menu. Make sure you negotiate with the tuktuk driver before leaving.

This hotel is absolutely lovely and at an excellent price. It is down a little quiet road off the beaten track but you'll be glad to have made the journey. The manager was great - even arranged for us to have a packed breakfast as we were leaving early. Food was great, loved the fish. The hotel goes straight out onto the most beautiful beach that has loads of little cute hermit crabs. Wish we had stayed longer

Unser absolutes Lieblings-Hotel!!! Wir waren vor 10 Jahren schon mal in diesem Hotel und hatten zwischen Kindern und dem Alltag endlich mal wieder die Zeit gefunden hier her zurückzukehren. Die Lage ist hervorragend an dem malerischen Strand wo man hervorragende auf den Hängematten entspannen kann. Die Zimmer sind super sauber. Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend und das essen schmeckt ausgezeichnet. Beim Frühstück hat der Hotelmanager uns gefragt was wir zum Abend essen möchten, wir konnten uns wünschen auf was wir Lust hatten, daraufhin wurde Fisch und Meeresfrüchte immer frisch besorgt. Auch Aktivitäten und Ausflüge, wie das Kayak fahren auf der Lagune hat der Hotelmanager schnell und zielstrebig für uns organisiert. Der Garten des Hotels ist auch super zum ausspannen und auf Wunsch konnte man auch draußen im Garten mit dem Meeresrauschen im Hintergrund speißen, was für eine tolle Erfahrung. Wir durften auch die Eigentümer des Hotels kennenlernen, ganz tolle Menschen denen das Hotel auch sehr am Herzen liegt. Ein ganz besonders Highlight während unseres Aufenthaltes war der Hochzeitsantrag den ich meiner Freundin machte, da es eine Überraschung sein sollte wurden alle Mitarbeiter im Hotel eingeweiht und haben für uns eine sehr schöne Szenerie im Garten vorbereitet, was den Antrag unvergesslich machte. Wir können das Hotel jedem nur empfehlen, vor 10 Jahren war es schon ein schöner Urlaub hier, aber die 9 Tage im Beach Serein Hotel dieses Jahr waren echt unvergesslich.
