To whom this may concern: When checking out I was hoping to actually speak to someone, but no one was at the front desk. So I left a voicemail message on the main #. The visit was very nice, but I wanted to report that our room, in particular the bathroom, was infested with lady bugs (we saw a few stink bugs as well). I never heard back from the Antrim Inn to acknowledge my message. Considering a wedding there in the Fall. I hope someone heard my concern & got an exterminator.

Our family had a fabulous Thanksgiving dinner at Antrim 1844. Everything went perfectly. I was able to drop my parents off by the front door and easily find parking in the back of the building, and there was a coat check inside. The interior is elegant with comfortable seating and we enjoyed the piano while eating tasty vol au vents and crostini. Then we were seated in the Green Room for a wonderful dinner with several options and well-matched wines. All the foods were flavorful and perfectly cooked. I really appreciate the staff's knowledge to help me avoid an allergy issue - they were very knowledgeable and double checked on a few items. This was a memorably special dining experience.

Antrim 1844 is a truly delightful place. My husband and I stayed in the main house (there are a number of other room/suite choices in other buildings on the property). The entire facility is impeccably decorated in mid-1800s style furniture, paintings, and wall hangings. Many of the rooms have fireplaces, both woodburning and gas. Our room, Clabaugh, had a cozy king featherbed, with an antique armoire and other furniture and a view out two sides of the building over what in non-winter months is the garden. The Smokehouse Restaurant in the main building was excellent, with a seven-course dinner offering that was well worth the cost. The executive chef is a young Peruvian, who apparently trained with the best. The cuisine was creative, flavorful, and had many unexpected but delicious details. Our stay felt like stepping back in time; we were looking for a not-too-far-away getaway, and Antrim 1844 fit the bill perfectly. We'll be back.

We came to get away from the city and visit Gettysburg. Unfortunately the snow closed the museums early so we arrived early. The hotel let us into our beautiful room early. They offered complimentary afternoon tea service. They accommodated us for dinner a La carte due to the snow. We had a wonderful time just enjoying the hotel and snowfall. Thank you!

It's been a long while since I enjoyed a restaurant as much as this. Let's start with the ambience. 16 foot ceilings in a completely restored 1844 home. The decor if not antique complemented the age of this home. While waiting for our table we had a glass of wine and the maitre d' serves hor d'oeuvres for each person. All of which were excellent. Immediately after we were seated we were served another chef's creation hor d'oeuvres. From the service to the cuisine everything was excellent, all most. The grilled Spanish Octopus done in a black garlic aioli was perfect. The butternut squash soup was good; but it was a bit over little salted. Done in a French fennel barigoule, the Chilean Seabass was cooked to perfection. The White Chocolate Dome dessert was eatable. At any one time there were different people from the wait staff or kitchen attending to everything we desired.

Anniversary celebration overnight and dinner. Amazing! Booked a Monday night. Had this historic mansion to ourselves. Our room (Clabaugh Room) was amazing and included a fireplace with views of the gardens and front. Warm welcome. Prosecco welcome in the room. Hors d'oeuvres and drinks in the Pub. Fantastic dinner with 3 wine pairings beside the fireplace with a candle lit table. Amazing staff , thank you Bill and Ali. Huge single malt selection in the Pub. Electrical problems while there. Less than 30 minutes. Emergency lighting did not operate. That said they would report/repair. In short, we loved it. We’ll return after Thanksgiving for Christmas decorations with family. Well done!
