This was by far the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. It’s unbelievably built right next to a railway line, and trains thunder past every five minutes — day and night. The noise was so loud I couldn’t sleep at all. It felt like trying to rest inside a train station. To make things worse, the air conditioning didn’t work, so the room was unbearably hot. There was no refrigerator, which is just basic nowadays. And shockingly, they didn’t even offer tea at breakfast — not even a basic cup of tea! This place is a complete disaster. Avoid it at all costs.

I enjoyed my stay. The hotel is very modern and clean. The receptionists were very friendly. I particularly like the breakfast buffet, which offered many healthy and locally-source options. If your room faces the train tracks, which run right next to the hotel, that might be too loud for some people. I just chose to keep the window closed and I could sleep well.

We had a nice five day stay at the Focus hotel. We enjoyed the town, the hotel and the easy access to the train station. Other reviewers complained about the noise level of the rooms next to the train line. We did not find this to be a problem. For the first several days of our visit, with windows open, with wax earplugs, the noise level was fine. For the last few days, the weather got colder and we shut the windows and the sound from the trains was not a problem. Our room was very comfortable and the breakfast was enjoyable. The hotel staff that we encountered were all very helpful. We thought that Sursee was a very nice town and not nearly as touristy as Luzerne. We thought the Focus rooms were a great value when compared to the Luzerne hotels. Sursee is about 15-20 minutes by train from Luzerne.

Nice hotel, nice breakfast, friendly staff but misses on the most important thing with staying at a hotel for business. VERY noisy. Impossible to sleep there as hotel room is basically nearest neighbour to the trainline, and not very good noise isolated. Parking in basement safe and easy. Make sure to get a room on the "non-train" side of the hotel

Great location, near from the city center and just 4 minutes from the train station. Super clean and comfortable. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable about all aspects. I really enjoyed my first visit and I hope to come back again soon with my family.

High quality hotel, beautiful spacious room, well equiped. Try and book on the front road side not the rear which is adjacent to a train track which is noisy. Plenty of choice for breakfast and a very nice Thai restaurant attached. Staff very helpful, would stay again *****

This is a gem of a hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and professional - both when I organised my stay by Email and when I arrived. They were very helpful with my wishes. The room was comfortable and spacious. The parking house leads directly to the reception. Breakfast was super. The cherry on the icing: Home made Bircher Müesli with honey instead of sugar!

War bereits mehrmals im Hotel Focus. Die Zimmer sind top und sehr sauber. Eine Kaffeemaschine und Mineralwasser sind stets da und werden aufgefüllt. Das Receptionsteam ist sehr freundlich und guter Laune was man als Gast spührt. Morgenbuffet behinhaltet alles was es für den Start in den Tag benötigt. Die Lage zum Bahnhof überzeugt. Bei meinen regelmässigen Reisen in die Innerschweiz buche ich immer das Hotel Focus in Sursee.
