So many issues with the management here Way too expensive for what you get The stay itself is average, at best. Room had aircon as a plus, however fridge is small, toaster+kettle they advertised as ‘kitchen appliances’ were incredibly rusted, smelt bad and weren’t clean, I didn’t even risk using them. Shower, toilet and sink are cramped Ended up using my own data for the stay as the internet provided was very slow Driveway entry is incredibly steep, PIN numbers have to be inserted to access gate (these are in the most inconvenient spots) The reception are virtually never sitting at the desk, good luck catching them while they are. Impossible to communicate with any management or owners, regardless if it’s an email or phone call. My main issue is with management. A lot of back and forth in September 2022 ended in a $1,500 credit for a 12 day stay. I was fine with the credit. Had it in writing, booked in advance 2 seperate 4 day stays at the Gold Coast Inn during January (received invoice and booking confirmation) The day of my weekend stay the Gold Coast Inn got in touch with me stating I had to pay cash for my stay, there was no ‘record of my credit’ on file and they essentially refused to investigate or work with me on this matter. Apparently they were under new management since March 2023 and anything booked or arranged prior to that is null and void. Need I remind you I had these two stays fully paid for and had a receipt. I also had original email chains between me and management from September containing all proof of the credit issued + formal files. After much time of me chasing them up they’ve essentially said ‘too bad, too sad’ and I have to suck up that I lost $1,500 Unfortunately I will never be returning, this inn has zero care with facilities or customers, even after ‘new management’
