Sempione Boutique Hotel

What a fantastic hotel! Great location with lovely views of the lake, spotlessly clean throughout, very comfortable bedrooms with everything you need and a tasty and varied breakfast on the roof. However what made it really special was the staff. They could not have been kinder, more helpful, friendlier or gone out of their way more to make you feel comfortable and ensure you had everything you need. A very special place and we will definitely return!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Sempione. Daniela and Graziano were amazing hosts and made us feel like family. Breakfast was delicious and Graziano cooked eggs to our liking. Nothing was too much of an effort. We had aperitifs on the terrace and was so relaxing. The staff, Sara, Marta and Simona were wonderful and so helpful when we had questions. There is a family restaurant right next door and had a great meal. We are so fortunate to have stayed here and will definitely stay here again when in Stresa.

This is a perfect little hotel. The hotel is situated in the quiet end of town, but is just a 2-minute walk to the ferry and the start of the lakeside promenade. Just around the corner are lovely little alleys and piazzas leading to many charming shops and restaurants. (Our favourite Il Vicoletto was a 5 minute walk – reservations necessary). The hotel staff were all very welcoming and helpful. Our room was well laid out with a nice large bathroom. Our balcony, on the 2nd floor, had a lovely unobstructed view of the lake. The fifth floor terrace is open all day for guests to enjoy. Breakfast is served there in the mornings, and bar service is available in the evenings. It is a lovely quiet spot to sit and relax and soak in the beautiful view of Lake Maggiore and the mountains in the distance. We would highly recommend this hotel!

This is a brilliant hotel and so much thought has gone into making sure guests have a great stay. All emails with initial questions were answered promptly and airport transfers booked. Daniela and her staff are all lovely, helpful and knowledgeable. Rooms are very clean, the roof top terrace a great asset and the perfect place for a delicious breakfast. The location is great with the ferry stop a short walk away. All restaurant recommendations were spot on. Next door there is a great family run restaurant serving authentic Italian food. We also enjoyed great meals at Caffe Torino and Il Vicoletto. My husband and I could not recommend this hotel more strongly.

When I tell you THIS is the hotel to stay in while in Stresa, listen!! Not only is it perfectly situated right downtown, it is absolutely beautiful as well. It was newly remodeled down to the studs in 2022. Our room overlooked the lake with two balconies. It is only a 2 minute walk to the ferry terminal which gives you endless opportunity to explore all the towns on the lake. Our hosts and staff were so welcoming and helpful-giving suggestions and restaurant recommendations, then calling to make them for us as well. Although we didn’t take advantage of the spa, we were given a tour and it is beautifully decorated. The lobby is inviting with plenty of places to sit and relax. One of the best aspects of the hotel is the rooftop bar/restaurant. Drinks are served daily at 3:30pm. The hotel owners make a delicious breakfast in the morning with plenty of choices. The view is the show stopper! It is always changing because of the mountains, you’ll want to stay up there for hours. Go enjoy, can’t recommend enough!!
