Briar Brae Bed & Breakfast

A wonderful ,family run B&B. Comfortable room, well-equipped, apart from a small TV. A very friendly welcome from Brendan and his family and an excellent choice at breakfast time. A real bonus was the view out to sea, while the location was in a quiet row of houses within a reasonable walk to the town centre ( 1-2 minute drive).

A lovely relax break, from the moment we were greeted, to the time ( after we extended a day or Two), we left nothing was to much trouble, lovely breakfast. Quiet location, walk out of the front gate across the cul de sac road, onto a wall and the loch is at your feet, peaceful, but the town is nice and handy

A lovely find, just off the high street. The views across the bay were breathtaking. The room was clean and comfortable. The proprietors were very friendly, discreet and kind. The breakfast was excellent, a solid Full Scottish with fresh brewed coffee. Thank you, will certainly stay again.

We were only here for 1 night but would highly recommend. Brendan made us feel very welcome when we arrived. The room was very clean and the cooked breakfast was really tasty and set us up for the day. Parking on site too. Lovely family run guest house

What a treasure of a place. Away from the hustle and bustle of the town centre, but close enough to walk if need be. Brendan and Nicola are perfect hosts and their little girl is adorable. The bed in the ground floor double was super comfy and the breakfast was wonderful. I won't hesitate to recommend Briar Brae to anyone who needs to be in Stranraer for the night. 10/10

The house was wonderful with a very spacious room and so very comfortable bed! Everything was clean and again- did I say how cozy the bed was? The view was amazing to wake up to and breakfast was delicious! We got on the ferry the next day and it’s just minutes away I’d definitely recommend staying here
