Be prepared for the length of the dock (approximately 800 feet). The dock is in White Chimney River, just off Sapelo Sound before you reach the ocean. Bring your own boat - deep water at all tides. Community boat ramp available and a boat lift at Shellman Bluff Fish Camp. Enjoy fishing, crabbing, and cast netting on the dock. Alligators, a large colony of endangered Wood Storks, Roseate Spoonbills, Painted Buntings, Bald Eagles, Ospreys, deer, turkeys. A perfect place to cool off and catch a nap between morning and evening photo sessions. Only ten minutes from I-95, Exit 67. Literally one minute from the public saltwater ramp, then 15 minutes boat ride to the Intracoastal Waterway, Blackbeard, St. Catherine's and Sapelo Islands, Atlantic Ocean and beaches. See dolphins every boating trip. Great fishing for flounder, trout, redfish, head offshore for the big stuff....King and Spanish Mackeral, Grouper, Barracuda.
