Half Moon is classic up-scale Jamaica! My wife and I came for our 20th anniversary and were impressed from the moment we arrived until the minute we left. The atmosphere is welcoming, the accommodations impeccably kept. Every bite of food was delicious! While they have all the amenities and activities of the largest resorts, they are presented and available in a fresh manner that caters to the individual, not the masses. Half moon is the stuff dreams are made of. The service and accommodations are exceptional . Most of the employees go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable . With the exception of the founder’s cove gift shop employees you can not find better service anywhere . The spa employees are some of the best I have encountered anywhere in the world. Denesha and Sofia give massages that are heavenly. After many trips to Jamaica I found Halfmoon based on my safety concerns . The property is completely isolated without any entry except through the front gate !! We felt secure at all times. The food is great. It is expensive, but you get what you pay for. There is something for everyone’s taste at Halfmoon. No boisterous crowds or crowded beaches . Time seems to stand still as you are inundated with the beauty that surrounds you . Halfmoon is a dream come true. I am truly grateful for a beautiful vacation.

We had the absolute best time at Half Moon Resort. It was a recommendation from friends of ours that frequent the resort, and we quickly understood why they go back time and time again. The rooms were beautiful, the food was delicious and the staff was beyond anything we could have imagined. From the morning of our first day, our gardener supplied us with fresh coconut water. This was a treat we looked forward to every day. We spent most of our time by the water, as I am 21 weeks pregnant, so we were looking to relax on this trip, and we definitely did. All of the restaurants were delicious, as we tried each one of them. Sugar Mill and Delmare were our favorites. We will definitely be back, and plan to bring more family with us. We hope everyone can experience this wonderful slice of heaven.

My company recently booked a 7-room villa for my staff and physicians attending the National Medical Association Regional Meeting. The villa accommodations were outstanding and only exceeded by the professionalism and quality of service of the Half Moon Villa Staff assigned to us: Carmen (Chef/Cook). This is an overrated, overpriced roach infested old hotel with mediocre food. asks for charitable contributions for communities. Charges are hidden everywhere

I’ll try to make this quick. The resort itself is spectacular with the best attention to care from any resort you will travel to. I’m specifically talking about the wonderful employees. But they have a long way to go on getting transportation from point A to point B as a non-debatable point. I waited an hour at the Sugar Mill restaurant for transportation back to my room at Eclipse. Then after a reception I waited 30 minutes in the heat with no air blowing for transportation from the reception back to eclipse. I went inside three times asking for a ride. After 40 minutes I was told the shuttle golf cart would be coming in 50 minutes. An hour and a half is too long to have people waiting outside in unbearable heat. The food was delicious as are the beverages. I think the prices are a bit high for beer ($18 for one local draft beer) The cleaning crew does an immaculate job of keeping the room spotless. The employees make you feel so welcomed and wanted. I could not, and cannot even begin to express how great the employees that work at this resort are. Will I go back? Probably not. There are many other beautiful places around the world to see. This one is Lovely in so many ways, but the transportation or rather the lack of transportation coupled with the heat is a deal breaker for us. I would tell anyone going to Jamaica to go in January or February. If you are going any other months, you are going to want to stay in a pool or in an air-conditioned room. I might add that I have been on 4 “Land only” trips to Jamaica, not cruises. And they were in the warm months. We stayed in the pool except for an occasional drive in our rental car to other parts of the island. But even in the rental car we had air conditioning. You will absolutely love this resort if you go. The employees are going to make you feel like queens and kings.

Some service areas to improve so as information sharing among staff and helping guests as they walk the property.

We stayed in Villa 81 for a conference with friends. Our butler Vinton, Chef Saywal and Housekeeper Jennifer made our vacation home away fr home. Everything was done to our specification. Vinton was always available to help us all, especially when all the golf carts were taken and we had to get to class on time. Our meals were perfect!!!! Saywal truly makes the best curry goat and oxtail!!! The living room got really hot and we requested a fan- provided in no time! Vinton always asking “do you need anything?”. We are so looking forward to planning our next trip back to Half Moon and to stay in the villas! Vinton and Saywal….you are the BEST! Thank you for your wonderful service!!
