화이트 하트 호텔(White Hart Hotel)

Friendly welcome on arrival but not much interaction between staff and guests after check in. Very good breakfasts and a good assortment of choices too. Although hotel has wifi, it did not work in the bedroom and signal was weak in the bar/restaurant area.

Stayed over Easter with a friend; we had booked a twin room and were given a lovely family suite with 2 bedrooms. The rooms were very clean, nicely furnished and the beds very comfortable. We had 2 evening meals at the hotel which were very nice. The breakfast was of good quality but not for big appetites. I had full English breakfast which consisted of 1 sausage, 1 bacon rasher, 1 slice of toast and the usual other bits. We had to ask for more toast or coffee top ups. The hotel was in the town centre which is nothing special, but it's ideally located for excursions. The Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan or Fowey were all within short drives. The downside of the central location was that it was very noisy until late ino the night as lots of people seemed to get drunk at the pub nearby, I needed earplugs to sleep.

Hotel is centrally located. This means centre of town a mile or so from beach/ harbour. The hotel does have a private car park opposite which is a real bonus. Room comfortable enough. Steep stairs. Breakfast time has to be booked - ok. Bar with local beers.

The staff were absolutely lovely and a real asset to this hotel. My first room (3) was in-between a fire door which banged when closed and the ladies toilets which are on the first floor for the bar and restaurant below. I was therefore concened I might be woken up by people inadvertently if there were using the faciltiies. They moved me to room 17 on the next floor up with no trouble at all. I had a good night's sleep and the only issues were the WiFi didn't reach the room and I couldn't turn the bathroom radiator down, so it was quite warm. This is an old building, so it is quirky, which is part of its charm and there was no noise even though the door didn't quite fit the frame. Breakfast service was again very good and there was a good range of options as you can see from the menu. I would stay here again but would ask not to be put in room 3.

I must thank Andrew, who is amazing and a credit to your hotel. And Lynn, again professional at all times. In fact all the staff. They really help me at last minute. Super comfy beds, excellent WiFi, breakfast was amazing, so much choice. Please try the Sunday lunch, large portions, amazing roast potatos, yummy, fresh deserts... It was beautiful cooked. Not much I can say really... just spot on

This hotel is lovely looking building in the centre of st Austell, it has a small (first come first served) car park and well located for local attractions like, eden project, lost gardens of Heligan, and Charlestown. Our room (12) was adequate with comfortable beds and well equipped en suite, and tea/coffee making facilities. The room itself is a little tired and could benefit from an update, and don't expect any view! But we slept and rested well. The staff are very smartly turned out, attentive and helpful. The food was very good breakfast was well cooked and evening meal was reasonably good value. The hotel unfortunately is let down by St Austell itself, I think we were there when the local vodka and crack appreciation society were having their AGM? and slightly worrying when you are given side door key because they "don't like to let the locals in"! I ventured into the town once and the shopping centre was like something from a distopian/trainspotting type film, so run down. One of the locals was in a corner on a stairway (I think he may have been inspecting the drainage?) He muttered something to me but to my shame I don't speak Cornish.. I think he was inviting me to visit the local hospital? He may have been from the Cornish tourist board? To sum it up.. If you pop a little diamond on top of a dog turd, it's still what it is! But 10/10 for effort.

Nice friendly place very clean staff were very helpful particularly Andrew as I was stuck in the area due to being broken down and he helped me with local information but all in all a nice friendly atmosphere

We stayed for two nights, the room was bijou but adequate, the staff were really helpful and pleasant. Everywhere was clean and tidy with lovely Christmas decorations. The Cornish breakfast was very good, they cater for GF by omitting the sausage and offering GF toast. A really good stay, thank you!

Stayed for 2 nights while visiting family. Warm welcome from staff. Room 4 small ish but perfectly adequate for our needs with a comfy bed and very nicely fitted bathroom. Car park across the road is always a convenient thing for a town centre hotel. Very convenient for the station and town centre. Staff very welcoming, freshly cooked food both breakfast and in the bar excellent. Will definitely visit again.
