booked 2 family rooms and we were very happy with the rooms,[ no musty smell] lots of room and a very nice bathroom. Check in and out very easy. The breakfast that is cooked to order was 1st class with a wide choice all served by a lovely waitress. thank you all for a very short pleasant stay. would stay again if in the area and recommend the hotel.

I just stopped for one night, whilst in the area on business. It was everything I needed. A great, clean room. An excellent evening meal, at a very reasonable price. And a wonderful breakfast. The owner, was friendly and nothing seemed to much trouble. I will definitely stay here again.

If I stay at a hotel, I want and expect cleanliness and good food always - The Apple Tree Hotel delivers on these fronts and so much more. The hotel was spotlessly clean everywhere - love that. Simon is the perfect host, welcoming and engaging with a wealth of knowledge of the surrounding areas. He is also a fantastic chef and both our breakfasts and evening meal were first class and taken in the beautiful conservatory restaurant. I should also mention how lovely the other staff are also and this really made us feel relaxed and happy to be there. The Apple Tree is a great place to stay and ideal as a base point for exploring that part of the country. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the hotel and/or stay here again myself.

Lovely welcoming comfortable hotel. Excellent food. Great location. Bed a little too firm for our liking and shower temperature but unpredictable. Would recommend for investigating Somerset and surrounding areas.

Excellent overnight stay. We were well looked after by Simon and his team. An excellent dinner, a good night sleep - room 9 is nice and quiet - with a good breakfast in the morning (unusually breakfast is served from 6:30am if you need to leave early).

Went for a wedding at the Quantock lakes, if you’re not staying on site, this is a great place to be. The owner was so helpful and accommodating, he offered to drive us to the venue on the day of the wedding, make us a lovely breakfast too.
