it is our preferred hotel when travelling to visit our daughter, very clean but its the helpfulness and kind attitude of the staff that makes the hotel so perfect.

We booked the Vincent for our anniversary , the hotel is stunning! On arriving to our room we had a complimentary bottle of champagne and chocolates waiting for us which was a lovely touch and greatly appreciated. Unfortunately the lighting however is very poor including on the corridors, this could be a major problem if someone had an eye impairment. We decided on getting dinner at the restaurant, the portion size did not reflect the price and unfortunately I realised I had been over charged when I checked my bank, I addressed this with them and as of yet the over charge had not been refunded. £75 for 2 baked potatoes, a portion of mushrooms and 2 drinks is very very excessive. The beds are huge and super comfy, we had a lovely sleep, however I think for the price of the hotel it would be nice to offer basic extras such as bath robes in the rooms and some bottled water in the fridge. I woke in the night very thirsty and there wasn’t any. The breakfast was a buffet style breakfast which was enjoyed but again rather basic, you can order off the menu but this is for an extra charge. We overall had a lovely stay and booked direct to rerun in aug for my partners birthday.

Premium quality food surrounded by gorgeous decor and thoroughly attentive, professional staff. Overlooking the pretty Lord Street, you really feel like a VIP dining in here, plus the food really is very good! Portions are big and filling, plus the chefs are obviously using top quality ingredients. Nothing is hidden either, with the pristine kitchens on display from the restaurant, where the clearly passionate chefs are seen to be working hard. Enjoyed a sharing platter of meats, cheeses, foccacia, oils and dips, followed by the Monkfish Thai Red curry and Mrs D with the Moulles Frittes. Washed down with a quality bottle of prosecco, it truly made for a memorable and romantic date night. Highly recommended.

What a fabulous hotel. Staff lovely & friendly on arrival and during stay. I'd mentioned it was my partners birthday and we had complimentary chocolates & a note wishing him Happy Birthday, plus rose petals on our bed. A very lovely touch! Room was spotlessly clean and a great size over looking the front. Bed & pillows very comfy & fab size. We had breakfast included, which was amazing, such a great choice & piping hot. Diane the Manager greeted us and was lovely & friendly, as we're all the staff. She poured our hot drinks and brought us some complimentary fizz ! Again another lovely touch. We loved our stay & will definitely return soon. Not one complaint

I chose to stay at The Vincent simply due to it's proximity to both the Railway Station and The Atkinson Theatre. Both a very short walk. And I was not disappointed. From the moment I arrived I was warmly welcomed by reception and allocated a wonderful room! Spacious, comfortable, nice view, effective air con, and the bath! My only disappointment was I wasn't staying for more than one night! Breakfast was included and did not disappoint. I found all the staff very welcoming and couldn't do more to help! Can't rate this hotel high enough! I will definitely be back!

We stayed for one night for our wedding anniversary as we had a spa day booked just down the road and wanted somewhere to stop for the night. From start to finish this hotel and the staff were top class. We arrived and got an upgrade of upgrades. The juinor suite we got was fantastic, spaces, with a cute balcony seeing the sun set and even had some chocolates waiting in our room. The Japanese style baths were awesome! Although might not be everyone's taste but me and the wife loved them! I honestly can not fault this place, from style, to the staff. Just topped off a perfect day with a perfect night. Will definitely return in the near future.
