A great place in a lovely location with phenomenal service. From the get go the staff did everything right. Brilliant for families.

Wedding anniversary week away ❤️ Our wedding anniversary is in November and we decided to celebrate it in Tunisia in Jaz Tour Khalef Hotel. The flight was only 2 hours 40 minutes which was perfect. The bus drivers from the airport to the hotel and back to the airport were very helpful and friendly. When we saw the hotel from the bus window looked even nicer than on photos. We walked to the lobby and could not belive how clean and luxurious everything looked. The design is beautiful, everything looks so well looked after. The check in was smooth and while we waited for our room we were offered drinks. Barman Ben Salah served us amazing cocktails while we waited for our room. He is so friendly and makes you feel very comfortable from day one. We received our keys and went to the bedroom. The room was very nice, bed was big and comfortable, bathroom had an amazing shower with really good water pressure. Bedsheets were crispy and good quality. We had lovely see view which is great addition in a morning and evening when you have your drink ☕️ on a balcony. Balcony is really good size and has nice furniture to enjoy the view . We got ready and went downstairs to the restaurant, lovely Mondher and his friend Sabhi looked after everyone really well. Next day bfast we met again them and were looked after by them ❤️. Then we went to the beach ️. Beach was very clean and launchers were really comfortable. The two gentlemens from the beach bar needs special mention Jamel and Fehri. Nothing is too much for them. They are very friendly and they look after all beach guests all the time. Jamel was there 6 days during our stay and he will know after day one which is your favourite drink which makes your time at the beach even special. And his ice coffee is to die for ☕️❤️. The snack bar next to the swimming pool is managed most of the time by lovely and friendly Sahbi . He will remember your name next day and will remember what is your favourite drink and sitting spot. He is such a an amazing person. In an evening we would go the the bar on first floor and two gentleman’s were just superstars who will advise you on your drink choice and serve you with a smile Thameur and Aymen. The housekeeping lady who cleaned our room was always smiling and making the room look very nice. She would even know what tea to replace for you as she would know that Verbena was the one I like. The cleaning lady next to the beach always put nice flowers in toilets and even would give you a beautiful flowers to put in your hair for your photos . Everything you need to know about the Jaz Tour Khalef hotel..... In short... Pros : Fantastic Staff, good food, clean, well kept grounds Cons : Evening entertainment, tired decor in corridors and on external window features and walls. Temperamental WiFi and air conditioning. Lack of shade at pool bar. What follows is my honest opinion of the hotel. I'm not benefitting from this review. We've stayed at quite a few hotels in. Tunisia and without question, the thing that sets this hotel apart from others is the staff..... They work exceptionally hard and regularly ask if everything is OK? The first thing that strikes you about the hotel is how clean the hotel is, an impressive yet traditional Tunisian entrance/greets you. We found the reception team welcoming and helpful. They speak good English. There are a few hand gel dispensers dotted around the hotel, however, everyone I tried were very dry and the gel had become visibly crystalline so clearly not been used/checked for a while. ROOMS We were shown to our room and unpacked at 3pm. The room was modern, well equipped and a good standard of cleanliness. Shower gel, soaps and shampoo is provided. Unfortunately our air con didn't work and following several failed attempts to repair we were moved to a different room at 11pm. Our air con in our new room was good but did occasionally leak water into the room. It was only an occasional drop so we put a towel on the floor, so wasn't a problem. Poor air con seemed to be a common complaint from other holiday makers. Ours worked so we put up with the slight inconvenience of the water leak. All rooms have fridges and kettles etc. No teaspoons though. A coffee machine is provided and new coffee pods delivered daily. Beds were firm but comfortable. A safe is free to use in each room and plenty of cupboard / shelving, wardrobe space. Only 8 coat hangers were provided. The TV had 4 or 5 English channels but were intermittent. We weren't in the room much so weren't that bothered. DECOR We found the building appearance and internal corridors to be tired in places, ill fitting carpets and many of the ornate external wooden window frames were broken. Some external walls need a lick of paint. Not big things but the hotel are striving to be #1 in Sousse so they need to address the details. POOL / SUNBEDS We got pool towels from the kiosk. We were able to get sun beds and parasol before 8am. In Pool beds/loungers were always taken so no idea what time you would need to get up to get one of these, we weren't bothered tho .... You can reserve sunbeds without a problem, there is a 'no reserve' policy but it isn't enforced. However, if beds are unnoccupied for a long period, towels will be removed. There is a small shop near the pool that sells pool inflatables, sun cream, snacks and souvenirs. NOTE there are no shaded areas in the pools and while the bar at the pool is shaded, there is nowhere shaded to sit near the pool bar. This is a shame,but could eas

Unfortunately our check in was chaotic and took far too long Our first lunch was a terrible experience as for some reason there was a very large group of Tunisian men who completely took over the buffet. The snack bar isn't great as too many flies. The food is very repetitive and mostly geared up for locals but with a big British and French clientele there isn't much else other than pizza. Saying that we did find something every day. There is a dress code here for the restaurant but this was not adhered to. We had a group of women here who white frankly should be ashamed of how they spoke to the staff and how they were dressed. Every morning they were in their pyjamas at breakfast and showed no respect for the country, culture or more importantly the staff here. All members of staff here are incredibly hard working and polite and the owner of this hotel should support his staff and not allow any guest to disrespect them. For us the biggest issue was the construction work that is going on. The main pool is under construction and it has been so loud. Diggers, trucks and jack hammers going all day! I just wish the hotel had been honest upfront as we would never have booked a construction site. The best part of this hotel is the staff. Incredibly warm, friendly and helpful. They really are fantastic so please be respectful to them. They work very hard to make your stay a good one.

We are so glad we chose Jaz Khalef after looking at so many hotels. The reviews live up to the hype. We’ve had a wonderful week with the happiest and friendly staff you could ever wish to meet. This holiday was a quiet, relaxing one for us so we only joined in a few games with the animation team but they are smiling and happy to see you every time you pass each other. I sat and watched the world go by all day, every day and the animation staff members such as Marco and Mambo are the kindest staff I have ever seen. Marco sat with guests and played cards during the day, danced with guests in the evening and his fitness classes were brilliant. He is such a gentleman and a pleasure to have met. Mambo was the same and very kind to guests and full of positive energy wherever he went. His smile is infectious! Shout out to Sam and Falta too, always saying hello and asking how we were. The animation team are a credit to the hotel. Jamel at the beach bar is such a lovely man and I didn’t even need to leave my lounger but my drinks were refilled repeatedly. Mahmoud and Hamdi at the restaurant treated us well during meal times, but every staff member said hello and helped where they could. Sahir was also very kind and helpful when we paid visits to the snack bar in the morning and afternoon. The rooms were very comfortable, with beds that were so big, you wouldn’t know you were sharing with someone. I never met my housekeeper (we went out for sunrise and when we came back to the room after breakfast, it was already cleaned) but they did an excellent job. The food is incredible and I don’t understand how anyone could think otherwise. Omelettes cooked to order in the morning, pastries galore and fresh orange juice was wonderful. Ample choices at lunch and dinner and if you like seafood, you are in for treat! Everything was of good quality and zero complaints from us. Overall, it was a wonderful stay that exceeded my expectations and it’s a great way to spend time out of the cold UK weather. We aim to come back to Tunisia next year and this would be the only place we stayed as it cannot be beaten. Highly recommend.
