Domfront - Numero Cinq

We booked the Numero Cinq after traveling through Domfront to Le Mans in 2012, the medieval town had a charming appeal that inspired me to return this year. We found the B and B online and read the reviews that had been written on TripAdvisor. The property sits at the foot of the old town walls overlooking a Valley. We arrived earlier than expected and was met by the proprietor with a welcoming smile. We had pre-arranged to park our motorcycles in the garage as the property in on a main road. We were promptly show to our room which was clean and perfect for our needs. We were provided with information on the surrounding attractions, bars and restaurants and headed off to explore. We had a fantastic night with a strong ex-pat community in the bar opposite the town courthouse. We arrived back at the accommodation around 12:30pm trying not to wake up the proprietor and her husband. We had agreed a time for breakfast and once again we were early. This again was meant with a pleasant smile and a "No Problem" attitude. We enjoyed a continental breakfast and returned to our rooms to relax before our ongoing journey to St. Malo. This has to be one of the most enjoyable and memorable stays that we have ever had. We will definitely return. 10/10

What a gem! Quaint and cozy, clean and friendly, we loved our stay at this delightly B & B in Domfront! Jacie and Richard made us feel right at home at Numero Cinq. Our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children) rented 2 rooms and it worked out perfectly! We explored the Normandy coast and the area around Domfront during the day and returned to a comfortable and welcoming accomodation each evening. Loved it!

So glad we found Domfront. So glad we found Numero Cinq. My idea of what a good B and b shoulder be like. Jackie is the perfect hostess, communicating efficiently and timely before we arrived and making us very welcome from the moment we rang the bell. Room is large and comfortable. Breakfast was filling and of high quality. Will be in my memory banks for a return visit.

Accueil charmant et cordial, dans un emplacement impeccable, à moins de 10 mn à pied du centre médiéval et du château ainsi que des restaurants, magasins, mairie, bibliothèque et lieux à visiter. La chambre est agréable, propre avec salle de bain très bien. Un bon Petit déjeuner pour commencer la journée. j'ai trouvé que la literie mériterait mieux, le matelas étant assez mince, cela dit c'est confortable. j'occupais la chambre au premier étage. Le logis est en bord de route, donc passage de véhicules. Heureusement c'est en province et très peu de passage de nuit. ATTENTION : pour les personnes âgées, les chambres sont accessibles par un escalier assez pentu et étroit. Excellente prestation et des propriétaires vraiment sympas. j'y reviendrai !

Vous ne résisterez pas au délicieux accent anglais de Jacqueline la maîtresse des lieux ni à son sourire et encore moins à son goût du "bien recevoir". Les chambres sont propres et confortables (2nd et 3éme étage), de bonnes tailles et la literie est moelleuse. Il y a même des oreillers en plumes! et un petit bouquet de fleurs du jardin sur la cheminée. Détail important, les chambres se trouvent dans une partie séparée du reste de la maison si bien que vous avez plus le sentiment d'être dans un gîte qu'en b&b. Pour avoir (hélas) dormis une fois à l'hôtel de France dans le quartier de la gare de Domfront, je peux vous assurer que pour le même prix vous ne pouvez pas hésiter! Située en plein centre de Domfront, tout est accessible en quelques minutes. Enfin, croissants au petit déjeuner et pain frais! parfait! Merci encore à Jacqueline pour sa délicatesse, sa discrétion et son accueil vraiment charmant.

Nous avons trouvé cette chambre d'hôte en ligne tout simplement en tapant "chambre d'hôte à Domfront" sans consulter ce site et nous avons pas du tout été déçus. Nous avons passé une nuit très agréable chez Jacie et Richard, des hôtes très sympa et très chaleureux. La chambre au 3e étage était très agréable, assez spacieuse et lumineuse, avec une vue magnifique et une salle de bain avec la baignoire dont nous avons bien profité pour se détendre. Calme, très propre, avec un petit déjeuner complet (des excellents croissants) et un petit gouter également disponible. Je ne puis que recommander chaleureusement cet endroit.
