Clocan B&B

Chris the host is fine, although he seemed a reluctant host. The room was fine, good bed, quiet, although missing some basics like a glass for water at first which I didn't discover until going to bed. Shower not great, piece fell off in my hand when I first tried it. Nowhere set up to sit outside the bedroom. Big issue was heat - hosts were reluctant to use, although it was a cold and wet April visit. Either off or, when requested, burning hot. Host said he could not control it. This was NOT good. Breakfast was self-serve cold cereal, yogurt, neither of which I could eat with a dairy allergy, white bread and fruit - so a C (for continental) rather than a B in the B&B really. The room was reasonably priced. But requested on site to be paid in cash. I was booked elsewhere and Clocan agreed with my original host to take me in for few days when my original guy had to attend a funeral out of the country - he was given my contact info etc - but another traveling family I met when I transferred to the original said they had called to book at Clocan and had been told cash and cold breakfast and not warmly welcomed so had not booked. An uncomfortable stay that could have been much better.
