Argyriou Wine Tasting Guest House

It was lovely - from the greeting when arrived from Annie, Dimitri making us an amazing breakfast. Fani thank you for your hospitality and wine cellar tour. The room exceeded my expectations - thank you. If you will not be disappointed staying at this wonderful place!

We had booked a wine tasting. While I was booking I asked if the winery is visitable and they said "yes" ! They also didn't say a word about the cost!! (Also on their web site there is no reference for wine tasting cost!) When we arrived (in a host house - let's say a boutique hotel), a very warm person (Mrs. Anna) welcome as and explain that the winery is not yet visitable (will be ready next year!!) and we will make the tasting in the hotel... !! After a very short (about 5 min) presentation of the winery and the wine varieties they produce, we start the tasting. When we start Mrs. Anna explained to us that almost half of their varieties were not available for the tasting. We said "ok"and we proceeded with the tasting of the rest of their brands . After almost 45 min, we completed the tasting and (us is usual) we wanted to buy some bottles to take with us. Thus, we ordered 20 bottles (an order value of more than 250€) When we paid, we realised that they had changed us additionally 18€ per person for the tasting!!! We think it has unfair! And it happened for the first time (we do wine tastings the last 15 years in Greek wineries and nobody has charged us !!). The quality of the wines and their taste were on average! The service also. Good to visit but carefully.....
