호스 베데호텔(Hjorths Badehotel)

This was such a great stay. Almost like travelling back in time. The whole hotel is light and bright and very well kept. A wonderful break from the hustle and bustle of the city. We had a junior suite with a nice balcony, only shame was the strong winds, so a bit chilly to sit outside. The breakfast was so nice with home baked sourdough bread, rolls, and cinnamon rolls. And for dinner we had the set menu both nights, and that was also lovely, and well presented. The staff was so attentive and helpful. Would recommend everyone to try a stay here. I surly want to come back.

We got a nice, spacious room in an annex to the main hotel. It was clean and bright, in fact dark curtains would have been welcome at night. The bed was very comfortable and wide. There was no in-room safe but we could deposit valuables in the reception. The first two days the WiFi did not work at all, and then only in the main house. There was no refrigerator, nor any TV (not important for us) or A/C. But heat rarely gets opressive here, and it’s a windy place. You can walk down to the sea in a few minutes from there, but the west coast is often windy, and during our visit it was certainly not inviting to dip into the choppy water. It also rained most of the time, which is not the hotel's fault, but it impacted our stay. We enjoyed the daily breakfast with its Greek yogurt and fresh breads. We had a couple of dinners there as well. One was a standard package of three courses, served with great elaboration bordering on the ceremonial, but with some misses. With all the extra amuse-bouches it became overwhelming, so we settled for an a la carte meal next time.

Das Haus hat unbestreitbar Charme, aber ist auch in die Jahre gekommen. Die Treppe nach oben ist steil und sicher nicht für jeden Gast einfach zu bewältigen. Das Zimmer ist recht geräumig, aber Bad und WC nachträglich angebaut mit einer hohen Trittstufe dazwischen. Der Badezimmerboden ist aus PVC, der Teppich im Zimmer hat schon bessere Zeiten erlebt. Der Schrank ist recht alt, der Geruch von Jahrzehnten hängt darin, sodass wir unsere Kleider nicht hineinhängen wollten. Das Hotel soll aber von September 2021 bis Mai/Juni 2022 geschlossen und renoviert werden - wir wünschen dafür viel Erfolg! Auch der Garten hat eine Auffrischung nötig, vielleicht wird das ja ebenfalls angegangen, damit das Hotel rundum wieder in altem Glanz erstrahlt.

Hyggeligt gammelt badehotel, med en rimelig god beliggenhed. Vi fik et charmerende værelse med bad og toilet. Sengene rimeligt hårde ift. hvad vi kan lide. Dejlig restaurant, med god morgenbuffet. Også god til en kop kaffe og kage, samt middag. Begrænset menu som måske skulle være lidt større.
