入住時前台確認早餐七點，實際八點，還有客人聽到的是七點半，且早餐太簡單建議不要訂含早餐價格。 最不可忍受的是前台沒有人值班，藉口是復活節。導致我存放行李不能提前下午三點取，又因為下雨在酒店門口外一個多小時淋雨，因為已經退房而沒有進酒店大門的鑰匙等了一個多小時才來人。他們沒有考慮到已經退房又有行李存在前台的尷尬。前台有人後我在又坐了一個小時因為還在下雨，期間來過四位旅遊者想住宿，看了酒店房間後逃之夭夭，條件太差，馬桶有損壞。強烈不建議這家酒店，美麗圓滿的錫拉庫薩唯一的遺憾

I spent 5 days at this hotel while in Siracusa for a conference. Even though my Italian is only intermediate, the hosts were incredibly welcoming and kind. They made sure that I understood all the entrance and exit rules for after hours and checked regularly to make sure that my needs were met. My room was small but perfect for this type of trip. It was air conditioned, which was a life saver in the July heat, and being on the terrace meant I had ready access to the sunny rooftop and to a wonderful city view. The bathroom was clean and working well with plenty of towels. The bed was comfortable and the wardrobe was plenty large enough to accommodate my clothing. I honestly can't say enough good things about this place. While my work was in Ortigia, the Hotel was off the island while being close enough for a short walk every day as well. Having read some of the other reviews, I feel some things should be said. First, this is not a US-style four star hotel, so no one should have that expectation. It is a charming Sicilian hotel with the culture and flair that you should expect from Sicily. Second, the staff speak some English, but not much, but neither should anyone expect that they would. This is Sicily, they speak Italian or Sicilian. If you come here, you would benefit from learning some of the language. In spite of that, the staff still works to help you. Third, the shower has low pressure at times and the heat isn't always that hot (not an issue when it's 30+ degrees outside), but it is a very nice shower and bathroom. I truly believe that most of the negative reviews here stem from unrealistic expectations. When you come to a place like Siracusa, you should be willing to embrace the differences and adapt your expectations to what is offered. Hotel Populus was an excellent choice for me and I am very happy to have stayed there. I would especially recommend this location for single travellers, for work or holiday, and couples.

Una città bella come Siracusa non merita di essere visitata alloggiando in una struttura così scadente. Servizi ai minimi termini, arredamento vecchio, porte dei bagni che non si chiudono, scarichi che si intasano. Decisamente meglio guardare altrove.

Hotel-b&b piccolo ma molto gradevole, a due passi da Ortigia, la cortesia e la gentilezza di Simona sono un bellissimo biglietto da visita, struttura carina e, cosa non meno importante, i nostri amici a quattro zampe sono bene accetti! Consigliato

Abbiamo soggiornato in questo hotel che offre anche il noleggio di auto, di cui abbiamo usufruito. Stanze semplici ma dotate di quello che serve e letti confortevoli. A pochi minuti da Ortigia, comodo per visitare Siracusa e per arrivare . Il personale tutto molto disponibile e gentilissimo. Colazione molto semplice . Auto a posto, comodissimo il servizio rent.

All iniziò ,la ragazza della hole,è stata gentile e disponibile ,pagato subito il conto ,non l Abbiamo più rivista fino alla mattina dopo quando siamo andati via . Alle 7.30 per la colazione abbiamo trovato solo un cancello chiuso e amen,tanto che per lasciare la Chiave,abbiamo dovuto lanciarla sul pavimento attraverso la grata. Camere vecchie ,scarico del wc che non mandava giu l acqua ,senza nemmeno una bottiglia d acqua in camera e altro che non sto a dire. Giriamo molto per lavoro ,in tutta Italia ,non pretendiamo molto per soggiorni a volte anche brevissimi,ma questo albergaccio,è davvero da evitare . Ah è situato in una zona davvero triste di Siracusa .
