If I could copy of story book of what a fairytale is on a spring day then Swinton would be it! From our moment of arrival the staff delivered service of excellence and made us welcome. We used the spa, the new lady on reception explained the layout and provided us with robes. The spa was spotlessly clean and the gentleman looking after the natural pool was so polite and keeping things shipshape. My treatment was the cooking nitrogen facial and just perfect for my needs and I have had a lot of pressures lately and feeling puffy before and could see the difference. We walked the gorgeous woods and I don’t remember seeing a path so beautiful. Our room was clean and stunning. Sleep was perfect and we heard no noise at all other than nature. We had Sunday lunch at Samuel’s and it was nothing less than excellent. I cannot praise the staff there enough. The food was top notch and the experience was relaxing and fine. All of the diners were complementing the food. Lisa on reception booked us some on site experiences. We found Lisa to be most professional and capable and a great asset to the hotel. All in all this stay have been marvellous and it’s been a blessing to experience such a special place in its full glory. Thank you.

Swinton is an outstanding experience. Even in the eye of a big December storm, the buildings and grounds are impressive. The insides are warm, welcoming yet still sumptuous The service and food quality is second to none. We had one of the cottages so we could be together as a family for my wife’s 60th birthday. A gorgeous home from home with all the amenities on top Samuels restaurant was a particular highlight of our weekend stay. One to return too. Often!

The Swinton Estate is a unique luxury accommodation that provided us with excellent options and fantastic scenery of the Yorkshire Dales. The food was great. The activities and history of the estate surprised us not having been to region before. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

A lovely stately home typer of a hotel in expansive grounds with a real Yorkshire welcome and genuinely warm service. The small plate meals in the Terrace Restaurant were terrific but I was a bit underwhelmed with the two rosette Samuals that lacked any extras and didnt quite seem like fine dining. We had a huge room, comfy bed and really enjoyed the falconry experience.

A very well maintained historic estate, with high quality dining and spa options. A good mix of old and new. The only downside we had was an extremely hot room, with towel rails and radiators on in the corridor adding to the heat, we were also above the kitchens so maybe why it was even hotter. Struggled to sleep for a couple of nights, In Constable Burton. Aside from this it was faultless

The grounds are lovely and our room was so comfortable. We love that you are also able to use the spa facilities as part of our stay. The breakfast was also delicious and had a wide selection. However, we do feel that the prices are not reflective of the value we received, especially regarding food and drink.
