Radisson Hotel Shimla

starting from check in to check out everything was perfect. special mention to the staff of the restaurant particularly Jatin. Food and service both were exceptional. staff toook personal care to make us comfortable,

I just moved to Radisson Jazz Shimla after a great stay at Radisson Kufri, and honestly, it’s been disappointing. Check-in was slow, though Aditya at the front desk was helpful. I asked about an paid upgrade and saw the junior suite, still deciding on it. But my real issue is with the service. First, I ordered boneless biryani, but they sent one with bones. They replaced it, but why mess up a simple order? Then, my thukpa arrived with spillage and a hair. Didn’t take a pic of that (because, ew), but I did catch one on the salt shaker. Basic hygiene should not be an issue at a Radisson. Housekeeping was another letdown. I called 3 times to get my plates cleared after dinner—nothing. They finally picked them up the next morning, so my room smelled like food all night. Also, I couldn’t help but notice that foreign guests seem to get extra attention. I get the whole international hospitality thing, but Indian guests are paying the same and deserve the same service. If the hotel is understaffed, they need to manage it better. The bathroom also needs work—tiles look like they need scrubbing, and parts of the wall are peeling. Didn’t expect this from a Radisson property. I still have two more nights here and hope things improve. Planning to check out the spa too—fingers crossed that goes well. Sharing this so the hotel (hopefully) takes note and improves for future guests.

The location of this hotel is fantastic, the views from the hotel room are breathtaking. We found the staff in all departments to be polite, courteous and professional. The choice of food at the buffet was very good and the masala chai excellent. The shopping area is approximately 10-15 minutes walk from the hotel. We would certainly recommend the hotel if staying in Shimla.

My stay at Radisson Jass Shimla, though just for one night, was an experience I’ll always cherish. From the moment I arrived, I was met with genuine warmth and kindness. The entire staff, especially at the front desk, were extremely courteous and down-to-earth. It was heartening to know that most of them are local Pahadis—people native to Shimla—who bring a special charm and humility to their service. After two sleepless nights traveling from Bangalore, carrying my 8-year-old due to limited connectivity, I was exhausted. Mr. Rakesh at the front desk went out of his way to arrange an early check-in, ensuring my daughter and I could rest. That thoughtful gesture made all the difference and showed true hospitality. The breakfast spread was generous, and the in-room dining service was both fast and delicious. The hotel also provides a free shuttle to nearby attractions, which added great convenience to our short stay. Everything about the experience—from the service to the people—was simply perfect. Radisson Jass Shimla is a shining example of hospitality done right. I truly hope they continue this level of service. People will not only love the hotel but also the warm-hearted Pahadi spirit behind it.

We were 5 girls who booked 2 rooms here. In the evening, the neighboring room had extremely loud guests (including some foreigners). Despite complaining again and again, the reception falsely claimed the room was unoccupied and there might be staff in the room. Later at night, one intoxicated guest from the neighbouring room started banging on our door and shouting. We were terrified and had to call security as he might have had weapons. The *** started returning to his room on seeing the security guard. The *** had alcohol crates and might be ***** too in his room and was shifted somewhere else late at night. Shockingly, the next morning the manager, Rahul Rana, instead of apologizing, accused us of causing trouble to that guest and refused to show CCTV footage or refunding the amount for stay. We were not able to sleep whole night. This was the worst hotel experience ever — no safety, no professionalism. Not recommended, especially for women travellers.
