Sakit Gol - Silent Lake Hotel

❌ Negative Review Unfortunately, our stay at “Sakit Göl” Şamaxı was very disappointing. • The rooms were far from the advertised standard: the furniture was old, cleaning was superficial, and the bathroom lacked even basic amenities. • The restaurant was a big letdown — very limited food options, average quality, and extremely slow service. • The territory itself is beautiful but poorly maintained: paths are not well lit and there is quite a lot of litter. • The price does not match the level of service at all. Overall, the hotel gave the impression of being completely different from what is promised in its advertisements. Definitely not a place we would want to return to.

Very good place for families. Beautiful nature, spacious room, staff is trying to be kind in every corner, of course some trainings need to be done. Location of the spa is far from the room, where we were staying, car need to be used, they also have club cars.

The location is very peaceful and serene. But given the price we paid, I felt the hotel could offer more. I will say that the front desk offered their Whatsapp so we could msg them with anything we needed 24/7 which was quite helpful. As a luxury resort, firstly there was no buffet breakfast. There was a standard package breakfast, with a traditional spread. That said, I think their whole concept was to serve organic dairy products grown in their on-site farm, so there was fresh cream, cheeses, olives, honey, white cherry jam, tomatoes, cucumbers, crepe, eggs and coffee. All of it tasted delicious and extremely fresh. we rented a private cottage, but the plumbing was old and had some issues. Again, not the 5-star experience and suited to the cost. The gorgeous lake and serene location was worth a trip. There’s an on-site cinema, spa, sauna and swimming pool. You can rent a fishing rod and swim on the lake nearby. There are very limited dining options. We had dinner at Golden Fish restaurant and the staff was slow and inattentive. Food was average and overpriced. The same restaurant had a great morning staff, and our server Kokmaz was so wonderful and accommodating even though there was a language barrier. we ran into issues while checking out because our driver had an accident. We had to wait three hours at the reception, and the kind manager at the front desk offered us complimentary tea and coffee. Overall, a good experience but the property can certainly be maintained better.

We first stayed here back in 2017 in summer and I couldn’t commend the hotel enough. At the time we stayed in the cottages which were beautiful by the lake side “Silent Lake” This time “for Valentines day” all of the cottages were booked so we opted for a “Luxury“ Hotel room, which I have to say was really disappointing. It was just really dated and needed some money spent. Wallpaper hanging off the wall, fake beams falling off the ceiling, poor quality MDF swollen due to water ingress and electrical cable isolation perished (Photos attached) Restaurant issues, only one of the evening waiters seemed to have any clue (Babash) the others just seemed to stand around and have no concept of a waiters role. (We often had to speak to 3 different waiters just to put a food order in) Breakfast issues, first day “no issue” but the second day when we asked for exactly the same “Coffee & Orange Juice” we were told this was extra cost, I explained we had exactly the same the prior day without any mention of cost, but he wouldn’t budge, this was embarrassing in a busy restaurant. For some reason they’ve also decided to add a kids animal corner which is presently covered in plastic sheets and is full of condensation, so you can barely see the anomals. It just looks really tacky & poor quality. All in all it was really disappointing visit and I very much doubt we’d return “unless it was refurbished and hotel staff improved” and certainly would no longer recommend it to friends as we had many times prior.

view is awesome and room is very big, atmosphere is so silent and I really like it, but price of food is terrible, just simple bread as usually must service for free but in this place is 4 AZN :D there is no any activity in winter, no tennis hall, no cinema, nothing, just eat, sleep, that's all.and staff doesn't have this information.

С момента заезда в отель одно разочарование! 40 минут ждали, чтобы нашли нашу бронь, а от работников слышали «вашей брони нет, и свободных мест у нас тоже нет». Вместо того, чтобы предложить подождать например за чашкой чая в знак уважения. В коттедже всю ночь пахло канализацией. Завтрак был не то что на 5 звёзд, он даже до двух не тянул не по качеству не по порциям, об обслуживании даже сказать нечего! Не только мы, но и другие вставали жаловались! Позор! При высказывании жалоб, в ответ от руководства, по имени Нигяр ханым мы услышали «Если не нравится больше не приезжайте!». При том, что я не повышала голоса и разговаривала абсолютно спокойно, лишь разъясняя что нам не понравилось. Было сказано в процессе разговора ещё очень много оскорбительного со стороны Нигяр ханум в мой адрес. Абсолютно не подобающее отношение к гостям!
