Nice place to rest for the night. Fully equipped kitchen though it’s shared. The host has been generous with coffee and tea.

We were welcomed by a fill-in for the owner, and she was very nice. A simple, small room, clean, with a spectacular view out the back of the mountain as the rain fell, creating many waterfalls. Seydisfjordur is a special place, the aura of a smallish town that is welcoming to visitors, and the hotel felt the same. The communal kitchen where you could make coffee or tea or hot chocolate provided (and any other meal) with board games and seating, so lovely. We had a wonderful dinner in town at the cafe, and wonderful walk around the lake and the "downtown". And it had great meaning, "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" was filmed here and its inspirational messages resonated during our stay and for always. Thank you!

The beds were comfortable and the guest kitchen had a nice set up. The tv room seating is not very comfortable and exterior doors are drafty- wind was coming through. Guesthouse is located across from ferry dock and close enough to restaurants and other places.

We wished we could have stayed longer than one night! The beds were comfortable, the community kitchen well appointed and the used of the laundry facilities much appreciated. It was easy to walk to restaurants and sights too.

Very expensive nightly rate for “no breakfast, shower not very good, water going over the floor as only a shower curtain. The surroundings of the building looked dirty and unkept. Nobody around to get any extra towels or anything. Sorry, but we would not book here again.

Clean and friendly guesthouse in such a charming town. We loved our stay, only wish we could stay longer!

We LOVED this Guesthouse! Our room was exactly what we needed. Kitchen is beautiful and promoted great conversations with other guests. This town is an absolute MUST stop is you are driving the Ring Road. The drive here is incredible. I highly recommend putting you trust in this accommodation.

The property manager was very helpful. It has a shared common space with a kitchen and laundry which are a bonus. The rooms are small but clean. Only complaint is the blackout shades don't cover the whole window so bring eye masks if visiting during the summer.

We could see the nearby waterfall from our bed as we laid down. The staff were not on site but were very quickly available with a phone call. The town is wonderful and the El Grillo bar nearby was fabulous. We loved our experience in Seydisfjordur.
