The room was clean but there was a pool of water on the bathroom floor. We dried it up and put it down to a cleaner forgetting to dry mop. Next morning we found another puddle and moved the bin to see a leak and mould. Another issue was the bar and restaurant were closed at night and we weren't warned in advance. In fact I was sent an email the day before advertising their meals.I feel that whilst the hotel is in a good location, its standards are dropping.

Was given a room during 27c weather which staff KNEW was one of two rooms where air conditioning wasn't working. I booked the room as an emergency for my partner who had a migraine. A night sleeping in 25c heat made things worse. I have an audio recording of staff explicitly telling me the following morning they knew our room had a broken air conditoning unit. Waiting for a refund before I take my axe to social media.

Just returned from an extended weekend break and the PI couldn’t have been more welcoming. Staff were lovely and very helpful. The lack of aircon had been made known to us several weeks before our arrival and staff were able to provide us with a fan. Parking was easy, food was good, location spot on. I would be very happy to stay here again.

Nice room poor food experiences. Eggs at breakfast so rubbery they bounce off the floor.Burned bacon and sausages were horrible.

This review is for the hotels restaurant and not for the hotel. I visited the hotels on site restaurant (Wakefield Arms) this evening, 2nd July 25 at 6pm and was asked if I had a reservation to which I said no. The female behind the bar then said that it would be 8pm at the earliest before I could have a table. I looked around and question her as to why, as I was the only customer in the restaurant or bar area, all tables were empty and her reply was that there were only 2 staff working tonight. She was more than happy to let me know that they were plenty of other restaurants close by. Shocking service by Premier Inn, no customers in the restaurant and only me and still expected to wait 2 hours 👎 I took my business elsewhere that evening, although little would they have cared.
