The room is beautiful and updated . Service is great . The view is great but the beach is not the best and there is a few huts right next to it with local people . The are few low rated restaurant nearby . It’s in the residential area . Breakfast is in the room or by the pool . The pool is small .

A fantastic small, friendly, clean, hotel which I would not hesitate to recommend. Delicious breakfast. All the staff are helpful and kind, with extra special praise for Magali who was just exceptional. Everything is beautifully maintained and kept sparkling clean. The pool overlooks the beach and along the beach are restaurants and two take aways including Ben and Jerry’s ice cream! The beds are so comfortable, the linen soft and smooth and the decoration just perfect, natural and calm and in keeping with the setting. Surrounded by lovely trees and flowers. My husband and I stayed twice here for a total of eight nights and we really loved it.

This is such a beautiful hotel! Thoughtfully built, in a great location, a lovely pool. The rooms are stylish and comfortable. Best balcony I have ever seen, even includes a sun screen. Staff is welcoming and helpful. I just hope I can come back and spend more time here.

We stayed at the l’Hôtel Pelican in February for 6 days. It is an extremely clean small hotel with very friendly and helpful people at reception. Our room faced west so we got to see the sunset over the Caribbean Sea every night. The neighbourhood is very family oriented with several restaurants in the immediate neighbourhood. I have to eat gluten free and I had no problem finding choices. We especially liked The Wanted Food. For our first morning, we ordered each a breakfast. There is no restaurant on site so it comes catered. Our breakfasts were plentiful and delicious. The little kitchenette is on the balcony with full amenities. Before leaving home, we had booked a rental car, which is the only way to get around Martinique as it is very mountainous. The hotel gives you information on who to book with, if you specifically send them an email. One place we especially loved was Ste-Anne on the south east coast. They have a small but well supplied market. I wanted to get some local spices and didn’t want to go into Fort-de-France because it was Mardi Gras with tons of people. I bought lots of wonderfully smelling spices and locally made mixed drinks to drink back at our room. Le Village de la Poterie on the south side of the Baie de Fort-de-France was a really nice half day. We had an affordable lunch at a restaurant there that looks like a big gazebo, eating outside in the breeze. We then drove around the peninsula. This part of Martinique is more touristy. The beach Les Salines is beautiful. Very long with soft white sand. Lots of restaurants and boutiques just off the beach but you would never know it because they don’t play loud music. Really relaxing. Even though the restaurant signs say they close at 6 pm, they were all packing up at 4pm.

The staff stayed for check-in as our flight was delayed...which was great! Very basic facilities and a coffee machine but no free coffee??? A kitchen which was outside in the balcony but no pan to heat water??? You need a car to get here and the bars nearby are very local...but surprisingly expensive!

Great place. We just had one night before catching a sailboat and wished we had more time there. Eighth off the beach nice pool cool little town.

It was very quiet. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It is on the water and there are restaurants just steps away.

We spent a week with our two children, and my wife’s parents in an adjacent room, so we experienced both the family room and the ocean side room. It’s one of the cleanest, nicest, friendliest and best situated hotels we have ever visited in many years of travelling. The pool is charming, the beach 30 seconds away is clean and not crowded, with decent, small restaurants. Proximity to Fort de France, supermarkets and the airport adds to the charm of this place. Parking is easy. Oh, and there was even free laundry. Highly recommended!!
