We spent in this hotel four nights with my family and we had an amazing time. The hotel has beautiful alpine design with amazing local gastronomy. The food itself is real experience. The hotel is well located with plenty of parking spaces. It offers wellness services and facilities with indoor/outdoor pool, gym and saunas etc… The only thing I was missing is jacuzzi where you can take your kid or heated pool for kids. Also some playrooms for kids would be nice too. In general we were very satisfied.

When booking this hotel I was searching for a few criteria, one of them being Air Conditioning. As we checked in, the receptionist didn’t do a thing except hand me a tablet that I had to fill and the keys. It would have been cheaper for the hotel to have just a tablet as they’re as useful. I explained to the receptionist it was her job to fill all that info, she insisted… The AC advertised is false advertising as it doesn’t work for a while already as a management decision. I called the reception and asked for a remote to the AC (it physically is in the room) and was told they will check and get back to me in “just a few minutes”. After half an hour I went down to the receptionist and explained it was too hot in the room. Once again I was told to wait and the manager would check it. The lying games by the hotel manager and receptionist continued and throughout our stay, with solutions such as “we have another room for you where we opened the windows” to which I responded “does it miraculously maintain the cold temperature after you close the windows?” Ira got inside, the hotel is surrounded by roads and a rail track. I paid to be on vacation and part of it includes sleeping how much I want! The only positive part of the vacation was the f&b team who were super friendly, polite and helpful. Guess what, they are not local!

I had the privilege of staying at the Falkensteiner Hotel Schladming recently, and it far surpassed my expectations. Situated in the beautiful Schladming Valley, the hotel provides the ideal combination of contemporary luxury and alpine ambiance. The accommodation is luxurious, spacious, and provides stunning views of the mountains. The wellness area, complete with saunas and pools, offered the perfect setting to relax after a day of skiing or hiking. Dining was a treat with a superb breakfast buffet and sophisticated dinner options freshly prepared from excellent, top-of-the-range ingredients. The service was first class – friendly, helpful, and eager to help. Whether relaxing or exploring outside, Falkensteiner is the perfect place to begin an utterly unforgettable alpine retreat. I'm already looking forward to a return visit!

Service of the highest level, sincere friendliness of the staff and comfortable rooms. Special thanks to the chef for the incredibly delicious food. I highly recommend everyone to visit the wellness center and especially the sauna at 5:00 p.m. when a whole show takes place there, it was an unforgettable experience.

Beautiful modern hotel maintaining Austrian charm throughout. Spacious rooms with the most storage I have ever experienced - well designed! Location a short 5 minute walk to the Planai gondola and centre of town. Breakfast and dinner had so much choice, excellent cuisine and variety for all tastes. Staff throughout provide great service with a smile! Pool and spa area were lovely. Usual rule of no swimwear in saunas which is not an issue as you simply wear your towel for privacy if desired. Highly recommend this hotel.

I have booked Falkensteiner Schladming for my ski trip in December 2024. Location: Hotel is perfectly located near ski lift Planai, you can walk cca 5 min. or use a car, there is free parking house nearby, directly at Planai station. If you dont want to use a car, skibus is also available directly at hotel, which departs app. every half an hour. Room: was large, nicely decorated, wooden style, large bathroom and separate toilet. What I appreciate, that there is a nespresso coffe machine in room with refilling every day. Food: We had halfboard option and it was really tasty and choice was very good. Wine selection was also very good. Staff was very attentive and helpful. The morning cook was very nice and made our day better:) Wellness: very nice, lot of daybeds for resting and private space. I must say, I dont like cold water, but here the water in pool was warm enough and I did not expect it, big like! Staff was very nice also here. Reception: staff was very helpful, check in was smooth, maybe online check would be better option than filling information upon arrival or pre-arrival email... Overall: As a travel agent, I would recommend this hotel to my friends as well as clients not only for a ski trip, but also for summer, spring or autumn stay in Schladming!
