'Great location, super friendly staff/ receptionist and she really couldn't of been more helpful. 🙏🏻. But please be aware of a 24 / overnight parking is 50%discounted to £18. But still worth it in my opinion.'

'The room is well lit, clean and simply beautiful. The staff, especially Sahas (sorry, if I spelt your name wrongly), are friendly, helpful, resourceful, and patient. As a first time traveller to the UK, I found the hospitality so genuine and reassuring that my stay at the hotel was gonna be smooth and safe, considering the location of the hotel being slightly distant from the city. The only thing I was a bit disappointed in was the fact that I didn't get to experience British pub and dining at the hotel itself because the hotel pub and restaurant are temporarily closed, I suppose. Anyway, the hotel makes a great effort to introduce several local restaurants nearby, so thank you for that. I will definitely be thinking of coming back to the Gissons the next time I look for an affordable, friendly, and comfortable hotel to stay in Exeter.'

'Stayed here for one night in August. Was really impressed with the Telstar. Staff were lovely and very welcoming. Room was cosy (I had a single room) and had everything I needed. Breakfast was great and fab location in town for Exeter St David’s or Exeter Central station. Will definitely stay again when passing through!'

'It was for a special occasion I proposed to my partner. It was very nice and I would stay there again.'

'Nice quality hotel, great staff. Good room and bar, no complaints there. For us the food choices were not great, one being vegetarian and the other not wanting such basic options. The proper restaurant on top of the hotel wasn't open on a Sunday. Thank goodness for take-away deliveries!'

'The hotel is in a lovely location, surrounded by beautiful Devon countryside, I wish I'd had more time as there is some lovely walks from the hotel. My room and bathroom were spacious and clean, just a few cobwebs here and there which can easily happen at this time of year. My car was full of my son's university stuff, but because of the location I wasn't worried about leaving it in the hotel car park - I wouldn't have been able to do that in a city centre hotel. This is the second time I've stayed in this hotel for a Exeter Uni drop off and would recommend it, a comfortable, countryside stay at a good price around 20 minutes from the city. The lanes can be narrow in places but that is the case in most of Devon.'

'The location and friendly, helpful staff were excellent. The food quality was as good as the most expensive restaurants we have dined at. The price of the food was less than charged by many other restaurants. Well done The Globe,we will return.'
