As a family of four with children aged 10 and 14, we had a pleasant stay at Hohenwart. The food was great, and the breakfast buffet was extensive with a cook-to-order station. The hotel has two wellness areas, one for adults and one for children, and the view over Meran is stunning. However, we found the kids' pricing a bit confusing. Even though the children stayed in a separate room together, both kids were charged the price of a "single stay in a double room", which was €50 more than the adults. Although the 10-year-old received a 60% discount on this elevated price, we still don't understand why the 14-year-old had to pay a "single-stay in double room" price. Comment of the Hotel: "That is how we do things here, this is normal, and we do it like this since 30 years" Not sure but maybe 30 years ago the kids would have slept on the foldaway sofa instead of their own room.

The hotel is located in a stunning place, surrounded by vineyards and hills with excellent views over the valley and the city of Merano. The hotel was built in several stages, which is noticeable - there is no single style, and all the areas and rooms are different. There are modern parts, but they are still very aged. The hall and restaurant are decorated with gruesome dead animal corpses. The restaurant has good food and friendly staff. The worst thing about this hotel is the reception. At the booking stage, reception could not make a reservation without errors; they only sent a valid booking on the fifth attempt. On arrival - very cold greeting and minimal information. During the stay, all requests were lost at reception. We had to wait two days for a different pillow. But the worst that happened here was that the staff did not bring the cake I ordered and paid for in advance (as a surprise for my loved one) during the birthday dinner. I have never seen such oversight in a hotel before. No one even apologised... It was the worst experience of the year. This hotel and service are not worth your money...

Ein sehr schönes und freundliches Familienhotel, welches alles bietet, was man sich wünschen kann. Der Slogan: „Im Urlaub bei freunden“ ist nicht nur ein Spruch, sondern ein Gefühl das bestens vermittelt wird.

Mit dem 25 m Outdoor Pool und den Fitness Räumen eignet sich das Hotel hervorragend für sportlich begeisterte Menschen, die auch Wert auf ein gesundes und kulinarisches Angebot legen.

Wir haben eine wunderschöne Herbstwanderwoche im November erlebt, sehr schönes Hotel, ruhige Lage mit einer Superaussicht ins Vinschgau. Das Essen war ein Erlebnis mit kompetenter Bedienung, der schöne Wellnessbereich rundete unsere Wanderungen jeden Tag ab.

Wunderbare Gastfreundschaft, über Jahre hinweg konnte die exzellente Qualität gehalten werden. Man schafft den Spagat, ein Ideales Hotel für Familien mit Kindern, aber auch für Paare und Alleinreisende zu sein. Die Bedienung ist professionell und herzlich zugleich, die Eigentümer verstehen sich als Gastgeber und sind auf angenehme Weise präsent.
