Our go to stay in Scarborough and yet again does not disappoint, room 4 which is spacious and comfy. All the added extras are thought off and high quality, lovely bedding and towels which is a bonus when away. The breakfast is all fresh and because you fill in a menu the day before it is ready when you are all cooked perfectly even the poached eggs are runny. I love looking at all the art work and accessories in the rooms and the building is beautifully kept. Would recommend.

My husband and I walked the Cleveland Way, a British national trail, and we spent the final two nights of the trip at the Cordelia in Scarborough. Our room was spacious and comfortable, including a comfy bed, a seating area, and a huge ensuite bathroom with plentiful hot water. We were there on Easter weekend, and our hostess was very welcoming. Breakfast was included, with plenty of choices. This hotel also offers a couple of tasty supper options, a board with local cheese and/or meats, which we enjoyed after we completed the hike. When it was time for us to leave, we were allowed to store our luggage and to keep our keys until it was time for us to go to the train station. We enjoyed our stay at the Cordelia very much, and we hope we will have an opportunity to return.

Absolutely stunning house with hosts to match. The little thoughtful touches make this place personalised and classy. The beds are super comfy in spacious and spotlessly clean rooms. The breakfasts are plentiful and top quality produce from local suppliers and the home made jams are delicious . The supper plates are a welcome addition and again top quality and value. A nice warm welcome from Rebecca, who has thought of everything! She was also very accommodating as we’d just had a family bereavement and showed flexibility which we appreciated. Large room on the second floor, lovely, very comfortable bed with very nice bedsheets etc. Modern bathroom. Nice fluffy towels and a face cloth, which so many places don’t have unfortunately. Hand lotions etc etc are of a good quality. Nice hospitality tray including biscuits and teas. This is a very large, old, semi-detached property, with fantastic high ceilings, furnished with older style furniture etc. There’s a very large lounge. Certain aspects mirror the age of the property such as the decor and wiring and so on but overall this is a large traditional building of a certain age. Breakfast is excellent. Plenty of choice, with good ingredients. You won’t go hungry!! Dietary requirements are well catered for. The scrambled eggs with smoked salmon was very good (however the food comes very quickly, infact I was still eating my cereal when my cooked breakfast arrived, same with another table the previous day, so this is something to learn from - a gap in serving food is definitely required, especially when you’re on holiday and not in a rush!) The establishment is well located for South Cliff and the lovely gardens. Car parking tokens for on-street car parking are provided. We went to Lookout on the Pier - recommended for very informal dining of great seafood (limited menu), and we also went to Tuscany Too, two minutes walk from the B&B, which was “ok”. Representing reasonable value for money, we would recommend staying at this B&B for a few days next to the sea.

I received a message the night before my arrival from Rebecca & James confirming my time of arrival and if I needed to change anything prior to arriving to not hesitate in getting back in touch, which I thought was a nice gesture. We went for one night in the Superior double (room 4) which was very spacious, clean and had a home from home feel to it. The bed was really comfortable and had a decent nights sleep. Tea and coffee tray within your room with Nescafé and Yorkshire Tea. Selection of biscuits on arrival too. It was a nice extra touch with the Caramel bars. Parking wasn’t an issue as there is plenty of space on the street and is free for your stay, as James or Rebecca will give you a permit for your stay. Don’t miss out on the breakfast as the full English was really nice and the selection of homemade conserves which Rebecca’s mother makes were delicious. Location is ideal as it only takes about 5-10 minutes walk to get to the seafront. If I come back to Scarborough The Cordelia would be the first place I would look at staying again. James & Rebecca were brilliant hosts, thank you for a great stay!

Massive thank you to Rebecca & James wonderful hosts nothing was too much trouble they went above and beyond our expectations, lovely large rooms with nice comfy beds and a lovely modern bathroom,the food is absolutely fantastic so a massive thumbs up all round we would not hesitate to book again.
