Stayed here for one night, fantastic hotel ,we had a sea view room which was amazing the room was beautiful and very clean,staff and owner was very kind and helpful ,it also had a free car park at the rear of the hotel which was a bonus ,we look forward to book with you again in the future.

Very friendly. Warm reception. Well organised. Attention to detail. Every member of staff was helpful. Room clean and bright, comfortable. Even put on a Gary Barlow music pizza and beer event to warm up for the concert. Very close to Scarborough open air theatre. Thanks for a great stay.

The rooms are not large, but there is enough space for a couple. Our room ,and our friend's room had views over the bay, and were in excellent condition and appeared to be newly refurbished. The whole hotel was great, with a comfortable lounge bar and a roomy dining room. The breakfast was spot-on and all the staff were friendly and helpful. We couldn't fault the hotel at all .

We must have found the best small hotel in its price range in Scarborough. This hotel has recently been renovated to an exceptionally high standard, including a lift. We were in room 12 on the first floor with a large bay window with a panoramic view of Scarborough's north bay. It was a delight to sit in the window with a coffee and just watch the sea and sky. The room had everything that you need, although the en-suite is small the shower is ample big enough, perhaps there should be a shelf under the mirror toothbrush and toothpaste, but there is plenty of space underneath in the vanity sink unit. The hotel has a lounge again with the same panoramic sea view, and also includes a bar. Plenty of tea and coffee, in the room with beautiful blue patterned mugs. The breakfast is buffet style with plenty of selection both hot and cold. Staff very friendly and couldn’t do enough for you, gave us directions into Scarborough town centre which was only a ten minute walk, also gave recommendations for an evening meal, as at present they don’t do evening meals. Can’t recommend this hotel enough, many thanks to all the staff, we had an excellent weekend.

Stayed here for 1 night, but wish i had booked for longer. We arrived early to a very warm welcome, our room was already rdy for us. It was very clean & spacious. Check out was just as easy, with a safe journey home from owner/staff. Will book here again in future & definitely recommend to others.

We have just spent 2 nights at the Clarence Hotel. We have been here before (many years ago) and the refurb which has recently been done is up to a high standard. The room had everything we needed. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We are looking to return later in the year, it's just a shame that no family rooms have a sea view.
