Lovely relaxing place to stay. Nice staff. Great location out from busy road. Only 6 rooms so not having to battle your way around the hotel. Not much parking space, but it wasn't a problem whilst we were there. Don't let the parking issue put you off.

We have just returned from another fabulous weekend stay at Mulgrave. We have stayed several times as everything about it is perfect! The hosts, the rooms, the breakfast and the surroundings are 5*. An idyllic place we have stayed in every season. I would recommend going any time of year!

Extremely cosy bedroom and comfortable bed and pillows. Everything spotlessly clean. Freshly cooked breakfast and good choice of cereals, plus fresh raspberries and blueberries each morning. Blaine and Jasmine were the perfect hosts. A wonderful home-from-home place to re-charge the batteries.

Wonderful! Our stay started with a lovely welcome from our host. Made my wife and I, and our two small dogs, feel very much at home. An incredible house and lovely garden with a stream at the bottom. The dogs loved it. In a small valley and beautiful. Our room was large and well furnished. The bed was so comfy too. Breakfast was delicious and there is a set time for diners with dogs which is a good idea. We could have used the big lounge but didn’t. Looked great too. Lovely 5 minute walk on a little path taking us to the seafront. Sandsend is very picturesque. Friendly pub for food too. Dogs loved the beach as did we. Impressive views of Whitby too. This place astounded us. Didn’t expect how incredible the stay would be.

Very good B&B in an excellent location, set in lovely gardens. Well appointed, large rooms and friendly people. Good breakfast. Close to Whitby (well worth walking there along the coast) but in very quiet spot, close to the beach in Sandsend.
