Stayed at Gir Serai - IHCL SeleQtions from 6th to 8th June with my wife. The property is tucked away right next to the Hiran River, surrounded by jungle — you can feel nature all around. We had a river-view room, which was spacious, clean, and peaceful. We did three safaris — and what a treat! Spotted 12 lionesses, a majestic lion, and several sub-adults and cubs. The safari guides knew the forest well and made the experience special. The food deserves a special mention. Every meal was excellent. The Kathiyawadi thali stood out — spicy, bold, and satisfying. Apu and Jahid from the restaurant were warm, attentive, and lovely to chat with. We also caught the tribal dance performance — great energy, and the fire show added flair. Felt like a proper celebration of local culture. The vibe was perfect: unhurried, close to nature, and very comfortable. Highly recommended if you’re looking to really disconnect and soak in the wild.

We've been going to the Gir Serai hotel for five years now, and it feels like our second home. It's a really nice place right in the Gir forest, and it's super relaxing. On our last trip, we had Kaju Paneer Masala and Cheese Garlic Naan. The chef, who is from Kodinar, made it so well that it tasted like magic. We'll remember that meal forever. Both the naan and the paneer were just extra good. The staff are also amazing. They are so friendly and cooperative and they always try their best to help you out. We even got complimentary high tea and a birthday cake once! And they got me a yoga mat when I asked, which was really nice. The hotel is a beautiful place in the forest, and everything is great. We've had a great time there every single time.

One of the best and comfortable property in that area. Booking for safari is nearest from all other hotels. Food options are limited but very delicious. Additional activities are also there for kids. Enjoyed our stay.

We have had a wonderful Experience of staying Experience @ Gir Serai where we have been taken to the Next level Experience by Mr Apu who has worked tirelessly for serving us the Multi-cuisine Food at all the time of our stay ***** with the Super live Music and his Singing was Amazing to touch the Heart what a voice Mr Apu has made our stay a super Memorable. And thanks to Mr Suresh Verma (Manager Taj Gir) He has also very humble and helped us understand about the Gir Area, the Jungle and about the hotel 🏨 it was really wonderful to take his Advise to spend 3 days in Gir. Breakfast, Lunch High Tea And A Memorable Live Singing Dinner of Mr Apu was super Amazing memory of Gir & Gir Serai.Thank you to Taj Gir Serai Team.

A fabulous and outstanding hotel with the old charm. Incredible and fabulous place which retains its old charm Staff including security ( no exception) is outstanding and most attentive Rooms are very good Cleanliness is given top priority Food is outstanding It is like living in one’s own old bungalow with exceptional hospitality by staff and great food Quiet place for a peaceful holiday away from the hustle and bustle Led by the Hotel Manager, Mr. Suresh who is most guest friendly and very supportive, the staff follow their guest friendly leader in providing good hospitality. Special mention must be made of Mr. Rajiv Chandran the Ex Manager ( now heading another Taj Property) who is phenomenally supportive, exceedingly guest friendly and available,24/7 for guests. Mr. Rajiv Chandran reminded me of some phenomenal and most guest friendly GM’s like Mr. Jaikant, Mr. Srinivas, Mr. Ritesh , Mr. Sumanji , Mr. Manu and their team. The food by the chef and team was most delicious and out of the world. The pleasure and joy with which they prepare and serve is so so touching. The food is soaked in their love and hence is most delicious. A big Thankyou to Team Gir and to an amazing and exceptional executive in Mumbai who made this possible Thankyou all
